Family Community Development
The Community Family is happy to announce the re-opening of its Everett, Medford, and Dutton centers. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our participants. We are taking every precaution to insure each center is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized through out the day. If you or your loved one has any questions about safety procedures, please call the center your loved one attends, and staff will be happy to assist you.

Sadly, after thirty wonderful years, we had to make the difficult decision to close the Lowell center. We will fondly remember all of the wonderful participants and caregivers we have had the pleasure of working with over the last thirty years. We thank you all for your continued love and support of the Lowell center.
Services
The Community Family (TCF) was founded in Everett, MA in 1978 with a $20,000 grant and borrowed space. It was founded by a group of local families and professionals who were concerned about the few community options available at that time.

The Everett center was one of Massachusetts' first adult day health centers and quickly demonstrated the effectiveness and affordability of community-based long term care services - a novel approach at the time.
The Community Family is dedicated to providing high-quality adult day health services designed to keep adults in their homes and communities as long as possible. Our services are based on a deep respect for the dignity, self-esteem and vitality of all those we serve. We are committed to improving the quality of life for both our participants and their families.
The Medford center is the first adult day health program in Massachusetts to specialize in care for those with memory loss. It is housed in a renovated, historic train station. The beautifully remodeled building includes a large, attractive outdoor area with a memory garden and shaded patio. The pleasant, home-like center provides care to 35-40 individuals a day who range from early stages of memory loss to later-stage Alzheimer's.
The Community Family's beautiful, modern Lowell center incorporates many state-of-the-art features designed to meet the needs of adults facing daily challenges with their health and socialization. The pleasant, home-like center provides care to 30+ individuals a day in need of health monitoring and guidance, including those with memory loss.
However, the Center has been around since 1978, including the past 21 years at its current location. It is well-established and highly respected in the region. Named after a former long-time physician in Wakefield, the spacious center is located on the site of a former grocery store.

Inside its doors, an experienced, compassionate staff provides a high level of supervision and care coordination to those with ongoing physical and/or psychological health concerns.Proven program with consistent, trusted staff. Program Director Susan Morton, R.N. has led the Dutton center for 7 years and directed the nursing program for 18 years.
