Acupuncture is a 5,000 year old medicine. Acupuncture theory describes a physical medicine that can help regulate physiological functions and homeostasis. Acupuncture points are said to maintain the body's energy flow in order to achieve health and well-being. One of the most interesting recent research studies to date found that acupuncture points have higher electrical conductivity.
Acupuncture therapy is of increasing interest in patients with chronic pain, headaches, stomach issues, menstrual cramps, and fertility problems.

Services
Talah Robbins practices at both the Montclair and Jersey City locations. Talah has been practicing Acupuncture and Herbology for 10 years. Talah has achieved National Board certification in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology and Oriental Medicine. She has also garnered the honor of becoming a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine with the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
The most interesting research to date that helps us understand how acupuncture works is that the acupuncture points have higher electrical conductivity. So what does that mean? Our bodies have electricity. This is a well known fact of western medicine. Our hearts have an electrical pulse which is read on EKG.
As our bodies release this pent up tension, we can recognize the mind body connection as well and see that a therapeutic massage can enhance your overall sense of emotional and physical well-being. Massage therapists can work with a wide variety of patients, of all ages, in the treatment of illness, injury rehabilitation, and disability.
Acupuncture therapy is of increasing interest in patients with chronic pain, headaches, stomach issues, menstrual cramps, and fertility problems. Acupuncture therapy, a form of traditional Chinese medicine, has been practiced with great success for thousands of years. There is the potential for Acupuncture to be used in the United States as an essential tool in conjunction with your regular healthcare approach.

Talah is very compassionate and truly strives to help her patients reach their full health potential. She has addressed a variety of issues ranging from severe pain associated with a gout flare up to sinus problems.
Talah’s treatment plan is always personalized to my current needs and explains why she is focused on a particular area. Her thorough understanding of acupuncture and eastern medicine allows her to stimulate the body's natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional well-being.
Highly recommend!

Talah really REALLY knows what she's doing. She's gone above and beyond to assess any issues my husband and I have brought up, and she's been so thorough in helping us figure out a plan of action. From in-office treatment to diet and lifestyle recommendations to herbal supplements, she's been excellent at helping us get balanced and symptom-free. HIGHLY recommend!

I started working with Talah in May and she has been incredible! I originally went for acupuncture for my lower back but mentioned I was having issues getting pregnant. Her treatment was a huge help with getting my cycle back. Also, to just relax! 5 months later I found out I was pregnant and I owe a lot of it to her! She is so knowledgeable and amazing to work with! I look forward to our weekly appointments. Would recommend her to anyone :)

Talah is an amazing acupuncturist to say the least. She is very knowledgeable and listens with great patience. She is also very particular about hygiene and uses wipes on the points before treatment, something which I have found lacking in others. I have noticed significant improvement since working with Talah and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for an acupuncturist!

I started seeing Talah mid-way through 2020 because I was having trouble sleeping and my TMJ was getting worse. I didn't even have a strong belief in or understanding of acupuncture. Talah is incredible -- she creates a very soothing, relaxed atmosphere and makes you feel comfortable. She listens to what's wrong and tailors each session to what's bothering you. I left each session feeling very relaxed, cared for, my sleeping improved a ton, and all TMJ pain is gone. Highly recommend.

Talah is AMAZING. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and also patient when explaining the process (first time getting acupuncture can be a nerve-racking experience). I had tightness in my upper back due to prolonged seating and a sedentary life. After the first visit, I immediately noticed a sense of "lightness" the day after. I went for a jog and shaved of a minute off my average 3 mile time. I also had a issue of night sweats, she was able to reduce that as well. I will visit again and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

I was new to acupuncture when I started with Talah about a year ago. Talah was perfect for getting me through the initial fear/discomfort and is great with explaining the purpose of everything we do. We have improved my shoulder pain significantly and broadened our focus to cover whatever else is ailing me over the past year. I look forward to the relief I get at our appointments each week and I appreciate all of the help Talah has provided.
