At Whitney Tree Service, we take pride in providing our customers with a courteous and professional tree work experience. Our conscientious staff has an honest, "old school" work ethic. Therefore we maintain entrusted, long-term customer relationships. Thinking about safety first, we educate the crew on the latest safety standards and use all the necessary personal protective equipment.

We keep our machinery clean and in perfect working order to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Whether you want to promote the health of your trees, need pruning, removals, or a new planting design, we do our best to recommend the right options for the situation. We consider low impact methods of work practice with respect to your property and always finish the job with a thorough clean up.
Services
We provide full service tree care in accordance with modern arboricultural standards. In addition, we respect the customer's property and provide a thorough clean up. No job is too big or too small for our residential and commercial clients in the Mad River Valley, Central Vermont, and beyond. Clean: Selective pruning to remove one or more of the following parts: dead, diseased, and/or broken branches.
I have always been interested in tree work. When I was little, I would help my father with firewood for our home in Groton, Massachusetts. I can remember riding my bike through our neighborhood and following the sound of chainsaws and a brush chipper. When I found the tree crew, they took a break to chat with me.
We had a difficult job which required heavy equipment and large cranes. This subsequently required a temporary road closure and coordination with our neighbors and Sugarbush mountain. The work was absolutely amazing- it was as if the trees- and Adam's team- had never been there (I still can't figure out how they left NO sawdust.).
Last Friday night's wind storm sure made a mess! One of our emergency storm calls was from Windridge Tennis & Sports Camps at Teela-Wooket. A large pine tree's root system was undermined by heavy rain and was no match for the high winds that came in on the backside of the storm. At nearly 125' tall and 3' in diameter, it was going to be a challenge to remove this tree that was now resting on the camp's office building.
Caleb has now completed the first four parts of the Tree Care Industry's Tree Care Academy. It's been 5 years since I obtained the Tree Risk Assessment Qualification and this March, I retook the course to maintain my credential. Now I'm qualified through 2024! TRAQ is an ISA qualification program that trains arborists how to use the methodologies outlined in the ISA Best Management Practices for Tree Risk Assessment.

The work was absolutely amazing- it was as if the trees- and Adam's team- had never been there (I still cant figure out how they left NO sawdust...). What was as impressive was their communication and efforts to minimize the inconvenience to our surrounding neighbors. I HIGHLY recommend them, and will be using their services in the future. Extremely professional, courteous and exceptional work at a reasonable price
