Rick Halloran started the company and began doing moves and deliveries for local businesses by himself in his pickup truck. Now we've been moving families, higher education institutions and businesses in the Boston area ever since.
The company is run today by Judy Halloran, taking over all operations from Rick in 2017 and maintaining the environment and passion of a family run business. Your Move, Inc. offers a full range of Moving Services. From home moving to office moves and relocations, our highly trained staff can effectively assist you with your upcoming move. Our team is always prepared with specialized equipment and materials to protect the integrity of your belongings. While serving the Boston area for the past 25 years, we have relied on repeat customers and word of mouth referrals to grow our business.
With our headquarters located in Somerville, MA, our team of residential movers serves the Greater Boston area and beyond. Our residential mover team specializes in small and large home moves, apartment moves and studio moves. We provide full service transport of our customer's goods to destinations all across Massachusetts.
Our team is skilled in working closely with our customers in need of a commercial mover, along with understanding the requirements of local Academic Institutions and Businesses. Often the needs of our commercial customers are very different from those of our residential customers. That is why working with an experienced commercial mover is so important.
Our team is proud to be able to offer Full Service event assistance. Maybe you need to rent our limited supply of event rentals? Or maybe you only need help setting up/breaking down your event? No worries! The Your Move team can be your partner for all required event services. Our office staff and movers are also highly experienced in accomodating the needs of event rental Boston professionals.
This will frequently lead to unsure costs and a lack of information. With Your Move, there are no hidden costs. We're happy to come to your home (if you'd like), free of charge, and do a walkthrough of the items you'll need moved. In short: Your Move is hands down the best moving company that my family has ever worked with. I wish I could rank higher than 5 stars. We will 100% use them again!

My wife and I have a 2 year old son that was very curious about the moving process and their staff was so friendly with him during the entire day. Moving in general is never easy, especially with a toddler, but Your Move was it so easy and seamless from end-to-end. We have a lot of delicate and fragile things

Judy, who helped me schedule my move, was very responsive and very helpful. The rate was also very reasonable, especially for the amazing service! Bob and Carlos were like a machine! They were incredibly efficient, fast, professional, and very gentle with my belongings. I would highly recommend them to everyone!

The most professional movers I have ever worked with. From the scheduling with Judy to the physical move with Manny and Nick — the whole experience was so great. The guys were really flexible when the piece didn't fit in the elevator and they maneuvered an all glass cabinet down 5 flights of stairs, delivering without a scratch. An amazing team!

I needed something moved on very short notice and it required picking furniture up from somewhere and then delivering it to my home -- approximately 40 miles away. I called Your Move. They fit me into their schedule, gave me the time they would arrive to pick the items up and estimated time to drop them off. They picked everything up on time -- we even added a few extra pieces -- and they arrived at my house within the specified time and brought everything in and set it up where I asked. They couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant and accommodating. I would definitely use them again!

I was referred to Your Move from a friend and was extremely satisfied with the experience. From telephone conversations to online experience to the actual move everything was handled professionally. If I was told to expect a call - it happened. The appointment for the estimate was kept on time. The fee was very reasonable. The movers arrived on time and worked swiftly and safely. They moved my WHITE sofa bed without a single mark on it and everything else was moved without any damage at all. My first time working with a professional mover and I couldn't have been more pleased. Thanks again, guys

We had the best experience with this company today. Our crew led by Chris was extremely efficient attentive friendly and FAST. They finished our move in just three hours. I've never had an easier move in day. This is a family run business and it's clear in the product. They are very good at what they do. Also - we shopped around and price wise you cannot beat them. Used to free moving but this was easy ! If your considering hiring movers at all it's the best money you will spend ! Happy customers !

Absolutely seamless! Thank you so much to the Your Move team for making my move an absolute breeze! They arrived on time, were quick and efficient, careful with all of my things, and just super friendly overall. I couldn't believe how quickly I was moved out of my old apartment and settled into my new one. Nick and the rest of the team are so hardworking and trustworthy. Will recommend over and over. Your Move was excellent! My boyfriend and I were moving from two separate apartments into a new apartment. The movers were polite, careful, and efficient. They arrived promptly at 8am and finished the move by 2pm. We had way more furniture than they had anticipated (it's my fault for not warning them), but the movers politely and calmly managed to fit all of it into the moving truck. When we realized that all our furniture didn't fit in new apartment, the movers carted away the extra furniture for free (to donate to MIT Furniture Exchange). They don't tell you the terms of the contract before you reserve the movers - our movers only worked one hour despite charging us for two, because some of our furniture was not on a list - on the phone we were not told the list was a contract but that it was an estimate. We were charged for an extra hour of work and they refused to even move our bed out of the room.
Also they charged us for 15 minutes travel each way to get from their office to our apartment - we live on Lincoln parkway, this is literally three blocks from their office at 19 Adrian street.
