Swiftwater RV Park is a top-notch, safe and pet friendly campground located directly on the banks of the Salmon River in central Idaho - 2 miles outside of White Bird - and just 1/2 mile from from Hwy 95, yet only 17 miles from the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area. Everything was so clean & weather was fantastic!
Neighboring folks were very quiet & we had a most restful time. RZR riding was some of the best we've experienced. Thanks so much - I can't imagine it being any better. At an elevation of about 1,400 feet with over 300 feet of riverfront facing the Salmon River, this Idaho pet-friendly RV Park is quiet and relaxing for campers in big rigs, toy haulers, 5th wheels, & even vintage trailers or tents.

We spent 2 nights here recently. This was our 7th. campground on this trip and the most pleasant experience we've had so far. Bill and Pam have personalities perfectly suited for being campground hosts. Extraordinarily interesting people. Pam even offers chair massages for $1.00. a minute. I thought she was careless with the time and gave me a few minutes more than I paid for. Very clean and well maintained facilities, On the banks of the Salmon River and a 45 minute drive to Hell's Canyon. Small but quaint. We have a 34' class A. It's a bit tight but completely manageable. My neighbor there drove

This place is amazing and the owners, Pamela and Bill are the most wonderful and accommodating people. It is right on the river with beautiful trees, a gazebo, fire pit with wood, covered group meeting area with BBQ, beautiful and clean showers, toilets and laundry. They also have some puzzles and books you can borrow while there. There is a cute little beach area a short walk away at the end of the trail where you can sit and enjoy the flowing river and sunbath. It is a dog friendly park and your furry family members will love it. I give it a ten and a must stay at while traveling through

First thing is, the owners were super nice. The view was beautiful. But the sites are so small that the people on one side of us couldn’t even open their awning all the way. They left their awning lights on all night and even with out shades drawn the light was annoying. The people on the other side of us brought a portable wood burning fire pit and as soon as they lit it the smoke started coming into our trailer. We had to close our doors and windows to keep the smoke out. The dogs, even though they were tied were able to come into our site because the sites are so close. I guess the problem

We had a great time at Swiftwater. New owners are working on upgrades. Right on the river. Super clean . Great showers and Landry .
We did some great hiking and bike rides. The owners and camp hosts were very helpful in giving us directions and places to go . And we ate at a awesome restaurant in White bird just about a 5 min drive . The Wildside steak house . The prime rib and the prime rib sliders were melt in your mouth . The best au ju sauce , very flavorful. And they had very tasty and different horseradish. Kinda sweet and hot . I wanted their recipe , ( but no luck) !

From the moment we got there, we felt that our comfort was a priority to Pamela and Bill. They made sure that our arrangements were satisfactory and pointed out all the local places to go. Bathrooms and showers were spotless. We even got treated to a fire under the gazebo. We will definitely go back to this campground!

This is a quiet place tucked in next to the salmon river. the place is very clean and well kept. lots of shade and wonderful views. we caught lots of fish from the bank and enjoyed ourselves very much. My only complaint is we were told we could have a fire then they changed their minds because of fire danger and air quality. We were tent camping and the camp fire was are only source of heat. So in the evenings we had to leave the park to have a fire on the river bank down the road to stay warm and have any social interaction. if you are tent camping check burning conditions first. other then that

Great high quality RV Park! We spent 5 nights here in early June, perfect time of the season. They have 2 bathrooms equipped with shower stalls that are very well maintained. Laundry machines. They sell bags of ice. There is also a dump station. The camp hosts are very nice and helpful and they have an ice cream social on Saturday evenings. The RV park is on the river and is about a mile from the town of White Bird. The town has a very small General Store with many essential items. The park has a communal fire pit and covered eating area with a grill. Each site is large and are equipped with 30A

Loved this campground. Right on the Salmon river bank. Excellent clean, individual bathrooms. As there are only two though, think an extra cloakroom would be very useful.
Campground was clean and tidy and not cramped as some are, with plenty of shady spots and an enormous camp kitchen area.
The gazebo was great for chatting with other campers.
The little town of Whitebird is maybe a couple of miles away. We did walk there one day, didnt realise how hot it was and how much of a hill there was to climb until we were about half way there. We had a couple of beers in the outfitters that was also

Don't usually like to give five stars, cages there's always room for improvement, right? But this place was heaven, right on the river, plenty of room, we were in site 17 right near the beautiful bridge. Very quiet and tranquil. Easy back-in sites. Anna was wonderful. I wish I could have stayed longer. We will be back for sure.

Clean, super attentive and nice staff, and an incredible view of the river. The bathrooms were lovely (private bathrooms with private showers - a big plus) and the laundry room was very comfy and inviting. Bring flip flops if you want to walk down to the river - the "beach" is nothing but river rock. Just a few minutes away from the White Bird Battlefield, which thrilled this homeschooling family.

Nice campground, but not a lot of space in-between camping spots. We got placed with an unoccupied rig blocking our view of the river when there were prime river spots available a few spaces away. Made absolutely no sense and spoiled what could have been a great experience. The owner is nice, but should be more in tuned to the fact that campers really want to experience the river. Hello!?!

I have stayed at this lovely spot on the Salmon River at Anna's and Duane's beautiful RV Park many many times over the last few years. It is never a disappointment....I always receive a wonderful welcome and enjoy the beautiful scenery and this clean park. The bathrooms, laundry room (you can even hop on an exercise bicycle if you have a mind) are immaculate. There is even a large covered area for BBQ, picnic tables and a beautiful gazebo right above the river with a large fire pit that has seen many fantastic fires, where guests enjoy meeting other campers. Thanks again, Anna and Duane for your
