I called AVI based on some of the positive reviews I'm reading here, but unfortunately did not have the same experience. When I asked for a home theater installation, the response I received was, "We're booked out for a few months and really only want to do business with people who buy products through us. You can send us an email and maybe something will open up." Terrible customer service attitude.

Our life is dependent on internet. Have 1 gig speed, luxul router and wifi waps, netgear modem and xfinity. Everyone blames the other. Called these guys and everyone from the phone operator to Chris and then Nathan calling me back were awesome. They were booked to early Nov and it turned out my modem was dead and I figured it out. However, I have never been a customer nor paid them anything. They were so responsive and trying to be helpful. This place is fantastic. They have the most impressive listening rooms of any store in the Bay Area. Their high end Wilson Audio setups are amazing. But lets face it not everyone is into having the absolute best sound. Not to worry, this store is so much more than that. Buying a high-quality sound system for your home is daunting these days. We have a 1908 home with some associated challenges. At first blush, AVI looked out of our price range & the show rooms can be intimidating. Tony gave us our first intro in the showroom, then came to our home & made recommendations, with options. Great sounding systems, but when you're telling me I need to spend $3,500 for a power cord to properly filter the power leading to a $27,000 Pre-Amp, and $2,500 for the connection from the Pre-Amp to the $35,000 Amp.....you lose credibility.

Some research quickly shows that's hokum.

I wandered in to AVI on a whim and found a top notch audio and video company. Everyone I have dealt with has been friendly and more than helpful. Their product knowledge is outstanding, as is their room configuration capability to get the best sound out of an environment. We moved into our current home four years ago and Tony Probst, the audio/video genius behind AVI set up a modest home stereo and flat screen system. We couldn’t be happier, even years later with the equipment he recommended and the service he has provided. This place is a real sleeper. I saw it from the highway and needed an esoteric video distribution part that no one had in stock in the area. Called them and they told me to come over in 30 minutes after they picked the part up at their warehouse. Wasn't expecting much, but, when I walked in I found a high end a/V store with the best brands. They even had Wilson speakers, arguably the best ever. The part I wanted was perfect and reasonably priced, the owner? Gave me a great tour and the artifacts they had on display were museum quality! Check this place out.
