Through NAUI, this is the equivalent of Divemaster but without the liability of a dive professional.

Our mission is to teach SCUBA diving. We are dedicated professionals who love to dive and want to introduce "land lovers" to the underwater world. We do this by staying current with the SCUBA Industry Standards and ensuring our staff has the highest of safety training. The certifying agencies qualify you to dive anywhere in the world and your certification never expire.
When you journey into the underwater world, you enter a realm in which you cannot survive without life support equipment. This is no different than an astronaut floating in outer space or a sky diver exiting a plane for an exhilarating drift back to earth. When taking part in any of these activities, you want life support equipment that will make the experience fun and memorable.
This is where it all starts. Our entry-level scuba certification course teaches you the fundamental knowledge and skills to safely scuba dive in open water to a depth of 60'. Course costs, as mentioned above, cover the educational, pool skills, and rental equipment as mentioned below. During this course The Dive Shop will provide Buoyancy Control Devices, Regulators, Weights, Wetsuit, and Air Cylinders.
Many divers, who have Rescue Course, reflect on it being the best course they have taken, and lots of instructors consider it their absolute favorite course to teach. You may hear it being described as challenging, rewarding, informational and these are most certainly true. Above all, you will be a much better dive buddy having taken this course while having fun.
This is the first step on the professional side of scuba diving. During the Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems as well as help others improve their scuba.

Man the staff at the dive shop is awesome! My love of scuba diving was renewed after my kids got certified at The Dive Shop and in the process we also got our Nitrox certification too! The icing on the cake is the fact that we have made some awesome new friends, the staff and other fellow divers, that we enjoy diving and hanging out with to boot! The staff truly has a passion for sharing the experience of scuba diving with everybody regardless of your experience or skill level, from Basic Open Water Certification all the way to Professional Dive instructors!

Was gifted an open water certification class here and just finished my advanced open water at the dive shop as well. They have all the classes, knowledge and equipment to get you where you wanna be in your diving endeavours. Jason and/or Maria are always helpful when you come in with questions about classes, equipment and their dive trips. Highly recommend coming in and checking the shop out and going diving with these guys. Jason and Barry are both great instructors that can without a doubt get you comfortable underwater.

I took my review class from The Dive Shop after being away from the sport. I must give the instructions five stars. In the Marine Corp they have a question in a review that ask " do you want to be in a fox hole" with the person under review, the answer will make or break a career. In diving, ask " do you want to be underwater with someone who was taught by The Dive Shop" and my answer is an unqualified "yes", because being underwater with someone is like being in a fox hole with them.

What an unforgettable experience! Being a rookie diver isn’t easy, but Jason’s knowledge and patience created a more welcoming and less unnerving environment. Although each of us divers were at different skill levels, he led the dives with confidence and fortitude - ensuring each of us that there was nothing to worry about. Even in the water, he watched over us like baby ducks, making sure we all executed our safety stops properly.
