Contact lenses are not an easy solution for every person suffering with vision problems. Some eye conditions make wearing contacts a difficult proposition. However, it does not rule out wearing contact lenses altogether. It just means patients need to discuss options with their eye care provider and obtain specialized hard to fit contacts for their specific vision problems.

My 10 y.o. daughter and I just had our appointments here and they were so much nicer to her than at Morganton Eye. On top of being able to get an appointment and not wait for 4-5 months, everything went great. They took us back together and were super nice. Even though we didn't purchase glasses from them, they printed out our prescriptions immediately when I asked for them. I would definitely recommend!

The customer service here has been in decline for several years now. My pharmacy has been trying to reach them forweeks to reauthorize a prescription and can’t get a call-back. When I called to expedite the process I also only got shifted around from voice-mail to voice-mail. With several other corporate optometry stores opening in Hickory over the past year, you would think they couldn’t afford to loose customers - but they have definitely lost this one.

Inconsistent charges, rushed visit with optometrist (no contact fitting- but had to pay for it for them to release my contact prescription.) Teresa was unbelievably rude and could not provide anything in writing showing the laws and regulations for contact prescriptions. You are an optometry office and a glasses and contacts vendor, state regulations should be available at clients request to assure the customer they are not being taken advantage of. This is my last visit.

Dr Sigmon was very friendly and helped my 6 year old feel comfortable and he even enjoyed talking to him. Although the girl that took us back was very rude. My son wasn’t able to have his eyes dilated because he was afraid to have the drops put in his eyes. Instead of trying to be patient with a 6 year old she got annoyed and told him “hurry up because I have other patients to see” then she just huffed and threw the eye drops on the desk. I know dealing with kids doesn’t always go as planned but the way she acted was very unprofessional and uncalled for.

Terrible service!
I am disappointed that I wasted my yearly insurance benefits at this location. I had to contact my insurance company because I couldn't get assistance from anyone at Peak Eyecare in regards to been overcharged and the issues with the doctor prescribing the wrong trial contact lense. I have asked for my prescription to be printed out since January, so I can order online. Everytime I call about it I'm told I have to choose a brand they are offering me before they can give me my printed prescription. I have made it clear to them that I'm not ordering contacts from them, I just need

Went while i was in school in Hickory. The doctor I spoke with had no knowledge of the conditions I had already been evaluated with from standardized Oculomotor assessments, and simply said "you just need glasses." When I presented research both myself and other OTs I'd collaborated with from the past 20+ years of research done on the topic, he simply scoffed. Wouldn't recommended outside of basic check-ups. Additionally, he falsified my medical records, stating I had "Not experienced routine headaches or double vision," despite those 2 issues being my primary reasons for the visit. Would not recommend

Would NEVER go back here OR RECOMMEND to anyone not even my worse enemy, My mother went a couple weeks ago (having problems with seeing spots and flashing of lights...) the doctor brushed it off and said he didn’t see anything and there was nothing he could do. This past Friday my mother went to Graystone (being because she couldn’t get another appointment with Peak) and the doctor there found a huge tear on her retina and they had to do a laser eye surgery to fix it and they are still going through the process of fixing it 4 days later. These people have no clue what they are doing and have

This place is the bomb. I have been going here for 8 or 9 years. I bought my first contacts here. They were comfortable and I have been wearing the same brand ever since I started going here. They are very gentle, make you feel comfortable, plus get your glasses and contacts fast.If you like Oakley's and other super nice shades and glasses, this is the place to be.
