Unfortunately, this pain often gets worse and sometimes becomes disabling. Simple activities such as taking a few steps after getting out of bed can be quite painful. Heel pain can be located on the bottom or back of the heel. It is important to have heel pain properly diagnosed. Our foot and ankle surgeons are able to distinguish between all the possibilities and determine the underlying source of your heel pain.
When a toenail is ingrown, it is curved and grows into the skin, usually at the nail borders (the sides of the nail). This digging in of the nail irritates the skin, often creating pain, redness, swelling and warmth in the toe. If an ingrown nail causes a break in the skin, bacteria may enter and cause an infection in the area, which is often marked by drainage and a foul odor.

The podiatrists at Peoria Foot and Ankle are amazing! I have been seen by the different podiatrists there and each one of them truly take the time to determine what is causing my foot pain and provide the best treatment possible to get me on my feet again. I highly recommend these foot doctors. And there office is conveniently located in Peoria, AZ.

I actually really liked this operation. Today, 9/20 I received a bill from a debt collection agency for a visit in March. It sure would have been nice to get (any) type of call from your office before the debt collection notification showed up in the mail. I called your billing office and got "working from home" voicemail when trying to pay the bill. Appalling.

We took our teen in for a very painful ingrown toenail. We were so impressed with this office! The front office staff was very friendly and efficient and Dr. Ryan made her feel comfortable instantly. He made her laugh throughout the procedure and she left with a huge smile on her face. She has zero apprehension about returning for her follow up and possibly addressing a second ingrown issue.
