Born in Fort Worth, Texas; graduated Pascal High School in 1974. Attended Texas Tech University and after college worked as an appraiser for Pritchard and Abbott for 4 years. He was responsible for appraising property for tax jurisdictions in the Houston area. In 1981, Jerry took a job with Kirkwood and Darby in Fort Worth and furthered his career as a property tax consultant representing all types of property.
