My 13 year old son decided this year that Scuba was on his list of Birthday wishes. We ventured to Bob’s and from there it was an amazing experience. Priceless memories made and one of the greatest experiences we have ever had. Robert was the most patient instructor I have ever met. For how uncomfortable I was to start and now want to go on my own to dive means everything to me and it’s because of Ed and Robert! I never ever felt pressured to purchase anything and was given great insights into what to purchase and what to hold back on. I cannot wait till we can join up again for another dive

There are many places that teach Scuba Diving but Bob's Dive Shop teaches Scuba Divers. Bob's teaches safe diving and head a program for Divers to use their new skills on multiple trips through the year. Been diving with Bob's for 30 years and made many new friends over those years. Ed, Mary and Robert are fantastic. They actually care about their divers, unlike many shops who are just interested in selling you stuff or rushing you through trainings. My only regret is not coming here sooner. They will always take time to answer any questions that you have and help you accomplish your diving goals. Additionally they have several group diving events throughout the year with a really great group of friendly divers of varying experience levels that are also fantastic.

Best dive shop ever! I got certified here, purchased 100% of my diving equipment here and was trained by the most honest and nicest people! Their knowledge of diving is second to none. Ed and his wife are the greatest. I love supporting family owned small businesses and this one is definitely one to support. Make sure you go in and give Ed a hard time and tell him I sent you, haha. Horrible customer service. Walked in to get some advice on gear before taking class at another shop near by. Since i wasnt taking the class with his shop and already bought a wetsuit somewhere else he wouldn't give me the time of day. My brother who did take his course went in a few weeks later and the owner told my brother that he deliberately blew me off since i wasnt going through his shop. As far as im concerned you treat everyone through the door with respect and maybe you will gain a customer

My husband and I have been diving for over 25 years. We didn't get certified through Bob's, but we have bought equipment from them over the years.
I called to get information on their dive course for some friends of ours. The person (Ed) that answered the phone was so rude, and made me feel uncomfortable. I asked about their open water course. He said," What's that? I replied, "Your basic dive certification". He says, " I've never heard of that before." Like I'm stupid. Maybe I am stupid! LOL But, should you talk to customers like that

Let me first preface this by saying, my husband & I have been diving for more than 20+ years. Including, getting both of our daughters certified through the shop. Best dive shop in town. Friendly and knowledge. If you want to feel secure about your diving skills then I would suggest this dive shop. They also have a dive club that goes on trips year round and it's a great atmosphere with nice people. All around great place to learn how to dive and get your gear.

I participated in a Dive Refresher course today at Bob's Dive Shop. After over 25 years without diving, it felt like a good idea before going on a dive excursion while on a cruise to Mexico later this month. The entire experience with Bob's Dive Shop was very enjoyable. Mary, one of the owners, was really helpful in explaining the steps needed to participate in the Refresher course. After agreeing to take the course, I was given the opportunity to do online homework before the day of the course. The person that assisted me setting up an account online was really patient and helpful throughout

I got certified a little over a year ago from bob's and I couldn't imagine getting certified anywhere else. The owners are extremely nice and make you feel welcomed when you first walk in. My class was 5 weeks long and we met twice a week which is a bit longer then most programs but when it was all said and done I felt very confident and safe in the water. Another really nice thing about bob's is they have their own pool on premises which made it very convenient. Over all if you're looking to get certified in Fresno Bob's dive shop is the place to go!
