The Vulcan Park Condominiums were originally built as apartments at the end of World War II. At the time, they were considered to be state-of-the-art, and quite an immense suburban building project by that day's standards. When Vulcan Park was first built, there was no Valley Avenue-the east end of Valley Avenue actually started out as the apartments' driveway!
Vulcan Park was to converted condominiums in 1980-81, and has remained as such ever since. The Vulcan Park Condominiums community is nestled on the south face of Red Mountain in Homewood, Alabama. It remains one of Birmingham's most convenient residential locations.

The following are a general layout for floor plans of the various condos. These plans and descriptions are for information purposes only because many unit layouts have been modified since the original build date. Our 2 Bedrooms/1 Bath condos are the perfect fit for a couple wanting an extra room or a family of three.
Our HOA board meetings are open to all residents and owners. The Board of Directors and our Property Manager usually meet the third Tuesday of each month (except November and December it would be the second Tuesday of the month). If you would like monthly reminders and last minute updates about our meetings, please search "Residents of Vulcan Park Condominiums" on Facebook to join our private group.
Garbage is defined as typical household debris which comes from the bathroom and kitchen like organic waste, clothes, paper products etc. and that can fit into a 30/33 gallon plastic bag. Whereas trash is all the other waste which does not come from bathroom and kitchen like furniture, junk, garden and lawn trash, household hazardous waste, etc.
The condo fees are proportionate charges for your share of the maintenance of common elements and reserve funds for the condo to meet any future costs or financial obligations. We love animals but also love responsible owners. Cats and dogs are welcome in our condos but please refer to our Rules & Regulations (Section E) for more info.

The best location! My husband and I bought this condo as a first step in our life together. The location is very convenient because we are both less than 10 minutes away from each of our offices, the gym is 2 minutes away, walgreens across the street, downton less than 10 minutes away, many groceries within 5-15 min, many cute shops and restaurants within walking distance. We did a lot of renovations to make it our taste but we also made sure to keep the authentic doors, flooring and ramp. Overall great community and place to live!

Great place in an amazing location, right by the Vulcan and within a mile of English Village, downtown Homewood, and Five Points. The property management and HOA are very attentive and involved, which bodes well for owners given the increasing property value. Since I've been here, they've completed several projects including tree trimming/removal, common plumbing maintenance/upgrades, new landscaping services, and they just finished a massive french drain project on the high side. I'm glad I bought when I did, and I have no plans of selling any time soon.
