Diabetic foot problems are a major health concern and are a common cause of hospitalization. Most foot problems that people with diabetes face arise from two serious complications of the disease: nerve damage and poor circulation. The lack of feeling and poor blood flow can allow a small blister to progress to a serious infection in a matter of days.
Dr. Aaron Bean, has been intensively trained to understand and diagnose the complex interaction, disorders, and deformities of the foot, ankle, and lower leg. He will use only the most appropriate surgical and non-surgical treatments to alleviate your pain and discomfort.
Foot and ankle (podiatric) surgeons help chronic wounds heal to prevent amputation; treat heel pain; reconstruct joints; repair and treat deformities; treat diabetic foot disorders; perform limb salvage; perform total ankle replacement; repair trauma injuries (fractures, sprains, and torn tissue); treat pediatric foot and ankle conditions; alleviate the effects of arthritis; treat nerve disorders; perform amputation when necessary; and treat many other conditions.

Lower extremity, ankle and foot wounds are becoming increasingly common as our population continues to live longer. Diabetes is becoming an epidemic and is a major cause of lower extremity wounds in the United States. Often, these wounds are chronic and very complex in nature, so they require a trained wound specialist who can effectively manage all aspects necessary to achieve healing, and salvage the limb.

I love Dr Rife! He is carrying, kind, funny, and very thoughtful. My Achilles Tendon surgery was an easy experience because I was told exactly what to expect every step of the way. The staff at West Foot and Ankle Center are wonderfully helpful and always smiling. They cheered me on through the whole process.
I just can't say enough about this office!

I came here with an injury that I I did at work. They treated me with respect and helped me along the way to deal with my Workmen’s Comp. Dr. Brian Shikenloth is a class act, he spent time with me explaining my injury and never once did I feel like a number. I would highly recommend this place to anybody that has a foot problems or ankle problem even the girl that did my x-rays every time I came in was very personable and treated me very well. Add a very scary time in my life they made it much easier for me to handle.

The office, and nursing staff are very friendly, and efficient! Dr. Schneekloth what do you say about him... Well for starters, he makes you feel right at home. He is extremely knowledgeable, if he doesn't know he will find out. He is a hands on Dr. which is pretty rare today, and is a straight forward kind of guy.
