It is okay but over priced for the cold washroom with a window that doesn't close properly. Microwave and fridge.Bathroom could use a new tap and renovation. Can hear your neighbours.

We have stayed at the Lark Motel 3 times in the last 6 months. It is a basic, no-frills, inexpensive motel, but it was clean and functional. We were glad there was a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, free wifi, and a firm bed. Checking in was easy, and the person in the office was efficient and pleasant. We will continue to stay at the Lark for trips where we just need a clean, inexpensive place to spend the night, and will not be there long enough to enjoy resort-type amenities.

Before staying here i was warned that its possible that it was a drug motel where people exchanged drugs. Not sure but we checked out the rooms and they were as clean and nice as best western. I believe they must have new mansgement!
Maybe the bedspreads weren’t modern but the sheets were so gorgeous. . We had the handicap room and we enjoyed our stay there. The down side is that they don’t have wifi. They have basic cable. They gave us a bed that was not a queen size.
But all together i would recommend this place to travelers more than others in town . They also accept pets with a $15 charge

Bed bugs.
We were looking for a place to stay just while passing through. At first it seemed great, it was just what we needed, smelled nice, the bed was comfortable, and we slept well. That was all we wanted.
But the next day, bites started showing up all over my husband. He has at least 30 bites.
We assume bed bugs, maybe spiders.
I want so badly to give a good review, but I just can't in good conscience tell someone to go spend their money and then be miserable and itchy for the next week.

At the beginning of May, my boyfriend and I were facing homelessness, and were put in a position where we needed immediate shelter. After calling a few other motels in Willits, the Lark was the only one with pet friendly rooms available. We booked the room for three nights, and instantly regretted it. The floors were filthy, the sheets and pillowcases had stains, and the remote for the tv didn't work. We had to wait a couple hours to get clean sheets and a replacement remote. Which was whatever. When we finally checked out, the woman woman wanted to keep my $100 deposit, because there was

It's not the Trump Plaza, but it's decent ‼. It's a place to rest your head! It's got all the amenities, the other places have! Someone in our party decided to go down the street, (BW) to be exact! Comment from them was, "It was trash‼. We would have been better off here‼". It doesn't look like much, but it's a place to stay!

This is one of the most disgusting motels I have ever attempted to stay at. I say attempted because the moment I walked into my room, I couldn't stay there longer than ten minutes. Terrible service, check in was said to be at 2 but they made us wait nearly a whole other hour to check in. The room was disgusting and smelled of cigarettes. The bed sheets had burnt cigarette holes in them and possibly signs of bedbugs?? The bathroom was hardly cleaned and the beds were made from stone. The management needs huge upgrades for this business to even continue in my opinion. I'd give this zero

Please go somewhere else.
The outside looks ooooookkkkayyyy. But it's a facade.
However if you first go to home depot and buy a ton of cleaning supplies, window curtains, and then skip over to marshalls or costco and get some clean new sheets, towels, and a mattress that might work. Also some new flooring or a lot of carpet cleaner.

Good heavens- it was filthy.
When I chose a "no frills" hotel for a quick night's sleep before getting back on the road, I expected just that -no frills. I did not expect the absolutely filthy conditions I discovered at the Lark Motel. Dried-up, chewed gum on the floor by the bed, cigarette ashes in the windowsill, mold spots on the bathroom wall and absolute grunge on the bathroom floor. I immediately removed the 1970's bedspread from our bed, because it clearly was not fresh, which uncovered the bleach-spotted sheets (THANK GOD FOR BLEACH). Nothing but broken hanger hooks

We were assigned this place via Hotwire (they are going to hear about it). Let's see:

- Sheets were stained by bleach.
- Bathroom floor was dirty.
- Cigarette ashes on window sill.
- Chewing gum embedded in the carpet.
- Permanently attached coat hangers were unscrewed leaving only the metal hooks.
- Bath towels were paper thin.
- I'm going to hope those bites I got on my stomach were not bed bugs.

Nastiest motel I've ever been in and super overpriced. It was filthy and the bathroom window was over looking a storage area and didn't even have a screen. We were traveling from Cali to Canada, so we were basically forced to stay there since there was nothing else available. The bed spread, sheets and towels were dirty, smelly and dingy. I do not recommend this motel to anyone ever. The towels had hair in them and the sheets were stained with some yellowish dry crust. I don't see how this is even humane to have such a filthy business. I will make sure to never stop by here again

This place is absolutely disgusting. Luckily we brought blankets and pillows of our own. Make sure to bring sandles or slippers if you're staying here. This place was horrible in every Manor. If you value your health and well being than I advise you to not stay here. Our room wasn't even cleaned before we arrived. Decades of filth and stench that permeate the entire and your sole as you sleep. You'll want to keep the window open for sure. Partially because the air conditioning doesn't work as well. @larkmotel you need to step it up! You're a disgrace

Don't stay here- lotsa bad little schtuff: no sink stopper, ice machine out of order, towel rack loose off wall, toilet seat wobbly, no hangers, mold on cup wrapper, fridge missing shelves, ice i put fridge freezer melted overnight, proprietor accent hard to understand, mendocino motel tax is almost 20% (drive on up to humboldt where itz 12%).
place seems clean enough, fridge & coffeepot work though it takes a contortionist to plug it in, okay selection of tv channels (no premium channels)

The beds were fine. About the best you can say. Several hairs around on the bathroom floor and in the shower. The shower head couldn't be adjusted to do anything but spray you in the face. One stay was more than enough for me. Rather pricey for substandard facilities.

Arrived 8:15pm on Dec 26th after calling ahead; when we got there, the woman running the office was behind bulletproof glass, no AARP discount, she wouldn't open the office door (as if we were bank robbers?), and when I asked to see the room before going through the POS stuff...she refused claiming "...we don't show the rooms once it's night....". We just rolled our eyes and went to the redwood inn; better rooms, friendlier, and $10 less.

The Lark motel; not the best place I've stayed, but not the worst. I was a bit concerned about this motel when I was reading their reviews, both on Yelp and online booking sites. The Lark is neither the most expensive nor the cheapest in Willits, but it served our needs for a rest stop before travelling on. We stop in Willits every couple of years on our way to one of the many music festivals in Northern California, and because the hotel we used to stay at has raised their prices too high for us now, we tried The Lark. The room we received was average sized for California motels, but as

No more of this motel for me and I've stayed there a few times since 1990 back when it had a big beautiful shade tree in the parking lot - long gone. My problem began when my eyeglasses disappeared in the room and I thought they had fallen on the floor. I got a good look at the carpet up close and personal and all I can say is it was very dirty. Please clean your carpets more frequently or either rip them up and go to wood floors.

Just checked in about 45 minutes ago. Room appears to be pretty nice. Sheets are flower and leaf pattern which is rare in a motel as far as I know. Bathroom is a bit cramped for a big person like me. The toilet seat is really loose. I'm always afraid of pinching my thigh. THAT HURTS!! LOL
No bathtub, which is fine by me, however there is a stall shower which may be a bit challenging for me.
Carpets pretty worn out. Pet friendly just declare you have one. I was not charged a deposit. I did tell him that my dog is extremely housebroken, almost to a fault. (This is true.)
Overall this is one
