Dr. Kyle Ross grew up in Beaver Dam, WI where he met his future wife, Natalie.
He attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN and received his undergraduate degree in Biology with a Biomedical Studies concentration. From there, he attended the Illinois College of Optometry on the prestigious, Health Profession Scholarship Program through the United States Navy. Dr. Stephanie Engebretson grew up in Stevens Point, WI.

This was the most comprehensive eye exam I’ve ever had. Dr. Ross addressed my concerns completely and made suggestions while respecting my right to make my own decisions.
The other staff were friendly and showed no frustration at having to repeat statements because of my hearing problems.
I definitely can recommend North Shore Eye Health and Wellness in all aspects of care.

Great location, a very nice office, and the folks working there were very friendly. However, like other reviewers, I experienced an issue with billing, and feel $309 for an eye exam is excessive.
I wear glasses and contacts and visited North Shore Eye Health and Wellness for a routine eye exam. I paid $119 out-of-pocket at the time of my visit and authorized billing to insurance. My insurance also paid $120 for the exam, so I was very surprised to get a bill in the mail several weeks later showing a balance due of $70.
I thought there must have been a mistake, so I called the office on two separate

Dr. Ross and his staff, especially Lori are amazing!! We were referred to North Shore Eye Health & Wellness by my son's Occupational Therapist and I couldn’t be more grateful. Dr. Ross diagnosed my son with convergence insufficiency and set him up with Lori for a 24 week therapy program. She gave me and my son constant support, feedback and encouragement which helped us give it our all everyday doing his exercises. My son ended up graduating early at 19 weeks thanks to hard work, dedication and the support of Lori & Dr. Ross. I could not have asked for a better team! Thank you from the bottom

Great experience. I went in to buy a good pair of sunglasses. The assistant was very knowledgable and helpful. She pointed out the differences between styles and types of lenses. I didn't feel rushed or pressured. I was able to try the sunglasses on outside and compare a number of them. I ended up with a great pair of sunglasses at a good price. I will definitely be back.

I took my husband to North Shore Eye Health and Wellness for a routine exam. He was given the most thorough eye exam he has ever had in 50 years of wearing contact lenses. The entire staff was kind, courteous, and very professional. Dr. E took a great deal of time with us, listening to our questions and explaining everything thoroughly. When we arrived back home, we remembered one question that we had forgotten to ask. He messaged Dr. E and had an answer within a couple of hours. I will recommend this office to anyone in need of eye or vision care!

Always a wonderful, knowledgeable experience. All of the support personnel is knowledgeable and helpful. As always Dr. Ross is phenomenal with his knowledge and updated equipment answered all of my questions, as always.
