The roots of the business lead back to Mobile, Alabama. In 1952, W.B. Humphreys, a WW2 veteran, started a flooring business called Carpet & Draperies of Mobile. What began as a local, family-owned flooring business has evolved over the years to a premium commercial flooring supplier. While our company has grown over three generations, our mission to serve our customers has stayed grounded.

Building or remodeling is a stressful time, but South Cypress went out of their way to ease the stress. My contractor was skeptical and pretty much against me ordering tile off the internet, but I could not find this tile anywhere locally.

Michael Clark with South Cypress went above and beyond to help me. I tried to order a sample of a tile and he immediately emailed me to say it had been discontinued and apologized for it still showing up on the website. He included information for several places in my area that could possibly still have stock of the tile. I decided to try a couple other colors and he verified they were still in circulation then put the order together for me, free of charge! Great service.

After searching for months for a charcoal grey 4"x8" subway tile I finally found one I loved here. Unfortunately they have a minimum purchase price of $500 which still also had delivery costs included on top of all that!! I only need about $350-$400 worth of tile. Very disappointing to have such a high minimum requirement (I can see a min of $100 but $500 seems a little steep) since not all projects are large scale. Beautiful tile and the rep I spoke to was very nice; however, in the end the only thing that matters is that I was unable to get the tile I wanted for an 80 sq ft project

I ordered 5 samples from South Cypress from their Storka collection and they were fantastic. Ordered the one we liked the most and my flooring guy installed it. The tile transformed our guest house and made it look amazing. The service sales people were great and we love the wood look tile. I would recommend South Cypress to anyone.

I too was skeptical of making a major purchase over the internet. I enjoyed the professional site on the internet that they have produced. I spoke directly with various persons before placing the order. All from Alabama and they all speak very good Southern English. They kept me apprised of everything they had done and what they were doing. The shipment went out on the day they said and it arrived on the day they said. I was skeptical of seconds or lot or batch numbers that would have nothing to do with each other. I ordered slightly over two (2) ton .. of PorcelainTile. All of my batch or lot

This review is for both South Cypress tile and the product we bought. We bought a hard to find, 2X4 inch thin glass tile color of Sage Mosaic. These are very pretty tiles, and while not cheap are sold at a reasonable rate via South Cypress. South Cypress does include a few extra sheets in each batch sold as they do crack sometimes in shipping, but for the most part shipping is trouble free. Incidentally, If you are installing these thin glass tiles, would highly recommend you work with a contractor that has specific and heavy experience cutting glass tile, as they are not all created equal
