Young Years has been hand-selected by the Department of Education (ED) to be a Louisiana test site for the recently developed pre-school HATCH Program. Using the "We Can" curriculum in conjunction with ED's HATCH Program and the Young Years Tutor-by-Two's Program, Young Years' kindergarten prep program is designed for 2-1/2 to 5 year olds preparing them for their all-important school years ahead.

Services
Young Years Prep is a licensed, Type "3" facility with a 2 Star Rating in Louisiana's Quality Start Rating System. Young Years provides educational and childcare services for preschoolers, ages 30 months to 5 years, and school-aged children, ages 4 years through 12 years. Main Building: preschool ages 5 years and younger and K4/K5 Kindergarten afterschool children.

Using the "Big Day for Pre-K" curriculum in conjunction with ED's HATCH Program and the Young Years Tutor-by-Two's Program, Young Years' kindergarten prep program is designed for 2-1/2 to 5 year olds preparing them for their all-important school years ahead.
Young Years offers an afterschool program that is age-appropriate for this group of children. Young Years has four full-size school buses, which we use for before school drop off, after school pick up and for field trips. Each bus is equipped with heating and air conditioning. All of our drivers maintain CDL driver's licenses.
Young Years offers an afterschool program that is age-appropriate for this group of children. We offer an extensive school-age program for before and after school with planned activities to keep them busy with age appropriate groupings of ages 5 to 7 (School-Age 1) and 8 to 12 year olds (School-Age 2).
Year-round, Young Years maintains a waiting list. Sign-up to our waiting list and/or reserving a future space for your child is simple. We do love this place. The staff is attentive and our daughter enjoys after school there. My only complaint, and this is something you want to be aware of, on weeks that there is no school, after school children are charged full tuition, no exceptions. That is absurd. The reasoning is, well they take a spot from someone. No they do not. It is crazy to think that the weeks they are not being provided the services, I pay an extra $50, not only for not receiving the service but even if I do not want or need my child to go to childcare. Any other after school care you send your children to will not

I must give five stars for this daycare. It is a great place and we love it very much. We moved to Shreveport from another country and my daughter, when she started to go here was four years old and could not speak English at all. They taught her and prepared her for elementary magnet school test. With their efforts of about five months, my daughter got chance in a magnet school. Miss Kim and Miss Megen are her favorite teachers.

This is a wonderful place ! My youngest son cane here when he was little . He is wheelchair bound and they always treated him with respect and dignity , He was never left out of anything ! Which in a world of regular people means EVERYTHING !! If you are in question of where your child should go to preschool and daycare, look no further ! Young Years is world class !

My kids have been going to Young Years for 5 years now and I have loved it! They have a great program with such wonderful and caring teachers, that really take care of the kids. They always have fun activities or field trips planned, but their magnet school tutoring program really helped both kids get in to Eden Gardens! They pick up from schools and have a homework program! It's a win for a working mom! I would highly recommend!

The quality of care and level of professionalism provided by Young Years is Superior to any child care facility in the Shreveport/Bossier area. We have 4 children, all of which have gone to Young Years. Being that your child must be 3 years old to attend we did send our younger 2 children to other facilities until they were 3 and the day cares failed in comparison to Young Years. The staff has sincere love and compassion for our children.
