Symptoms-depression, anxiety, PTSD, phobias, the emergence of the symptoms of ADHD, and the gnawing sense that we are stuck in work or in relationships-are signals that the soul is preparing for greater wholeness.

Life crises triggered by divorce, death, career setbacks, and other traumas are excruciating, but they invite us to deepen into our birthright as whole human beings. Through entering into a dialogue with our deeper, wiser self, we can learn to say yes to our innate capacity for creativity, depth, integrity, and joyful living.

Personal Coaching is a discipline that helps you to define your specific life goals and strengths, and then provides direction, support, companioning, and accountability as you move toward completing those goals.

Coaching involves the same elements of good psychotherapy-empathic listening, confidentiality, and skillful intervention-but, while the goal of psychotherapy is to relieve the suffering of people with mental illness, coaching focuses on making healthy people stronger and happier and more effective in their lives.The issues that come up in my coaching practice are diverse.
Care of the soul is my vocation and my privilege. I am trained in a number or approaches and disciplines, but the thing that has stayed with me through the course of a lifetime is this: People who honor their dreams and listen for their message are almost always blessed beyond measure.

When I pay attention to my own dreams-writing them down, sharing them with trusted friends, dialoguing with dream figures, or creating rituals-impossible challenges and chaotic situations are transformed into opportunities for growth and healing.Dreaming is the most innately creative experience that most of us have.
Hypnotherapy is an effective approach to change. As we get acquainted, I learn about your background and goals. As trust develops and you begin to feel comfortable, I invite you to move into physical relaxation, and to move with me into a state of trance. This experience is similar to the feeling just before sleep, when dreams and images begin to emerge and a sense of deep rest and calm develops.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, is currently the best known approach to psychotherapy. It is based on the idea that emotional problems are caused by false beliefs and thoughts that are often unconscious. The therapy involves a conversation between client and therapist reveal and change the troubling beliefs that lie beneath painful emotions.
He has, for the last nine years, had periods of depression followed by highs of feeling that he can do anything and that he's not going to take any crap from anyone. He can't hold a job for very long, for one reason or another. He has just turned 40 years old this year and has lived with my parents (mother is 78 and father is 75) for the past nine years in a three bedroom apartment.
