Located on Lake Minnetonka and in the Apostle Islands, Wayzata Yacht Club is a community sailing center for adult and youth sailboat racing programs. The Wayzata Yacht Club is a hub of dedicated, passionate sailboat racers nationally recognized for its leadership and growth of a preeminent, innovative regional sailboat racing community.
The Wayzata Yacht Club (WYC) oversees one of the largest sailboat racing programs in the United States. Our Lake Minnetonka racing programs include over 65 keel boat races each season, conducted primarily in 22-25' keelboats, with participation of up to 130 boats for evening races. The Wayzata Yacht Club is host to numerous local, regional, national, and world championship sailing events.
