Our mission at Pineland Dental is to provide high quality dentistry by fostering a friendly, warm and caring environment. Our practice was established in 1973 by Dr. James F. McClary, Sr. His son, Dr. James F. McClary, Jr., has over 20 years of dental experience. After successfully running his own practice, Dr. Reed Williamson joined forces with Dr. McClary at Pineland Dental in 2019.
Both offer preventative, restorative and cosmetic dentistry using the most advanced digital technology. We welcome both adults and children and accept most dental insurances. Dr. McClary, Jr. is a local native to Summerville. He moved here in 1973 after his dad retired from the Army. He graduated from Summerville High School and went on to graduate from Presbyterian College with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biology.

Every appointment I have had with Pineland Dental over the past several years has been an excellent experience. Dr. McClary has a very pleasant personality, putting me at ease so I have no feeling of pressure or anxiety. And, Tracy, my hygienist, also has a great personality and makes the cleaning experience as pleasurable as I could possibly expect. I would definitely recommend Pineland Dental to anyone new in the area or considering making a change.

I have been going to Pineland Family Dental for almost 10 years. The staff are genuinely the nicest people you will meet. You will love Dr. McClary. He spends time with the patient each and every visit. A few years back, I had an emergency tooth issue late at night on a Friday, I was panicked, I called Pineland Family Dental's after hours number and within moments Elizabeth (not sure she's still there) called me be back, she calmed me down, which wasn't easy as I lost my capped front tooth. I knew from enamel damage to my front teeth that it was beyond repair. I was always embarrassed
