Only your doctor can tell if you are a candidate for surgery. We look at the whole picture of your symptoms, physical exam and xray findings. It is then a quality of life decision by the patient and the patient decides if they want to proceed with surgery. If surgery is on your left leg, you can drive when you no longer take painkillers during the day.
Hudson Valley Hospital Center is an all-private room facility which significantly decreases risk of infection. Our infection rates are lower than the national averages. You know your surgery will be performed from start to finish by your surgeon, not a junior member of the team, physician assistant (PA), or surgeon-in-training.

Best surgeon ever hands down. Did total knee replacement. Would never go to another doctor for the other knee. Living in Florida now, would fly to NY to do the other knee. Nobody compares. Had a small surgery on the knee that Dr Pidoriano did, scope and the people that were in the room for my surgery came out and said, Who did your surgery?, excellent work I know you didn’t have it done here in Florida. I trust him and you should too.

I would highly recommend Dr. Pidoriano for anyone needing orthopedic surgery or sports related injuries. I had a complete ACL tear while playing basketball back in late March of 2013. After the conformation of my complete ACL tear from MRI Dr. Pidoriano suggested using my patella tendon for the graft of the new ACL and also took the time to explain the pros/cons of using each of the graft types, hamstring, patella, and cadaver. I underwent surgery in April of 2013 by Dr Pidoriano at the HVHC and was released the same day of my surgery. Himself along with his office and staff were very helpful with
