Local, friendly, well stocked but with gas station convenience prices.

I love this little grocery store and all it has Tom offer but with 2 major grocery stores that are about 8 min away I can't see paying gas station convenience store prices.

They have a great selection of wine, a nice deli and cheese counter as well as local products and National name brand products.

We purchased some cheese bread from the Buckeye bread Company. The bread looked really good but when we got home and cut into the bread it was basically white bread with a little bit of cheese sprinkled on the top. The bread

I’m no sandwich expert but the deli at this location makes some of the best subs and sammies I’ve ever had. I don’t expect every person doing their job to treat me like daddy Warbucks, they’re friendly enough in my opinion.

Bought milk and gnocchi there (among other things). Came home to realize that both were expired. The milk was 2 weeks expired and the gnocchi was expired by a year and a half. I have been frantically checking everything else. Didn't realize I had to check expiration dates so closely at this place. I certainly won't be returning.

Love the Hills Mkt. Sat on the patio and enjoyed some wine from their fabulous selection.
Just wish some of the families that sit out there too could be respectful of those around them. Bunch of kids ran around constantly screaming and the 6 adults there did NOTHING to correct their behavior. Was really pleasant until they all showed up.
Come on parents- please be parents.

Never been to this location. We made the long trek from the East Side to have fun at their lobster roll Saturday.

What a great event. Lots of people, lots of excitement, great weather. Hills does special events the right way and has a beautiful patio. It was great!

Lobster rolls were ok. A bit "salady" for me, but nicely chunked with lobster. Served chilled. I thought the price was fair at $20 per roll.

5* selection in their spirits and wine department. I bought two bourbons that are hard to find on my part of town.

Thanks for a great event

My personal favorite is the sun shake (banana/mango/strawberry) but I've tried a bunch, and the smoothies here are all great. It's clear they use fresh fruit and they've nailed the perfect balance of ingredients. it's unbelievably good for the value and I highly recommend!

I found myself needing some last minute groceries and ice on my way to a socially distant holiday gathering and she suggested the hills market. Walking in there I felt I transported myself back to NYC with their specialty markets. The market had a wide variety of items there, mostly specialty items and all of it significantly marked up from mainstream grocery stores. Getting in and finding what I needed to was easy enough. The longest part was waiting enough for the young lady at the check out to get off her phone enough to pay attention that someone was ready to check out (-1 star).

I just wanted to get some whole milk mozzarella, the staff seemed rather uninterested in even making eye contact. I thought maybe because of COVID-19 they were just avoiding everyone but I saw them jump to help other patrons. Disappointing experience!

I used to like this a lot. It's been overtaken by the glut of organic and specialty stores opening. The Hills Market is a locally owned store. It has a lot of locally made items. These often are way overpriced and can be found in most other stores.

Even though it's not big it still has lots of harder to find items. It used to be like it had several flavors of one brand you couldn't often find in another store. The pop and ice cream sections are good examples of this. It also has a deli. There's a salad bar and a counter where they make things like sandwiches. It would be one

The Hills Market is a great place to get a variety of local products under one roof.

I shop at other grocery stores for my weekly haul of groceries, but I love coming to The Hills Market to buy fun, local foods. During my last trip, I ordered slices of cake from the dessert case. The cakes were made by Carolyn's Bakeshop, and the pieces were large enough to share with another person, even though I definitely ate the entire piece myself. I will continue coming for the dessert. Every isle offered a different, interesting product that I wanted to try. I bought some of the Hills Market pimento

WINE - Definitely 5 stars. 1st Saturday tastings are fabulous. 10 for $10 with your choices of 30 open wines.

STATE STORE - 1 of 5. Never stock what I want. I gave up looking there. Forget The Hills as a State Store.

GROCERIES - 1 of 5. Packaged grocery products are 2 to 3 times their price in other grocery stores. That's 200-300% EXTRA markup over the standard grocery margin. Old-fashioned service justifies some extra pricing, but it is not worth paying $2.50 or more for $1.00 products. The Hills makes Whole Paycheck into an extreme bargain basement.
Ex: $3.50 for Progresso soup that is

For those of us who are in Michigan that have Plum Markets, we know what a gourmet market should and shouldn't have. While about half the size, it hits all the marks well. Quality local brands, good wine selection, fresh meat and fish counters, and in house bakery; with only the fresh hot food missing.

I stopped in to get a few items since I was in a motel for the night that didn't have free breakfast - yes, those do exist. Got some fruit and a gourmet donut. Picked up a few other things that spoke to me like cantaloupe milk bath salts and fancy rice crispy square. Found jelly beans

We were provided lunch at work today with boxed lunches. It was nasty terrible! The cold cut subs had very little substance with a lot of wet soggy bread. The container of fruit was slimy soured and disgusting. How does a company sustain a business with such a poor quality product and presentation. I know nothing else about The Hills market, but I do know they cannot provide a large catering of box lunches.

This location is closer to me. It's as if it's a mashup of Whole Foods, Trader Joe's & Fresh Thyme. It has a huge selection of wine, beer and alcohol. I love how many varieties of cheese they have. Their deli has some amazing side dishes such as their tofu curry! It's great they have a varied selection of pork rinds. I'm sure we'll be shopping there weekly.

A very nice specialty grocer. The best I can describe it is a suburban North Market with a bit of a Trader Joe's feel to it. I liked the unique selections and the butcher counter will rival the now defunct Andersons for cuts of meat.

The bonus of the outdoor seating with daily specials for the patio eating/drinking are what sets this place apart and what will drive me to come back.....well that and the annual Lobster Rolls during Saturdays in August. Overall a quaint little find that I would recommend to all for at least a stroll though to gauge your own interest.

This place used to be pretty awesome, but the last time I went, it was sad. Overpriced and sad-looking produce, terrible bakery full of boring pre-packaged, expensive stuff... all the things that used to make me like going to the Hills seemed to be absent.

We ended up going out of our way to go to Meijer because we couldn't find anything to buy.

Not that it's awful. I just come in thinking I can get something I want- this time, root beer- and I leave, if not empty-handed, then disappointed in the selection. They have good pastries and meats, but I really wasn't up for them this time. They have an assortment of general grocery items, but
