Portland Yacht Club is located in Falmouth, Maine, on the shores of beautiful Casco Bay, just north of Portland. PYC is a private club, open only to members, their guests, and visiting yachtsmen. Off-season, the Club is frequently closed. If you need to visit the Club, please call ahead to make sure someone will be there to greet you or send an email to manager@pycme.net.
Services
Our Clubhouse was originally a small seaside cottage. Since the Club purchased it over 60 years ago, it has been expanded and upgraded many times. Yet we think it still maintains the atmosphere of that seaside cottage, but now for the enjoyment of many more people! We have two showers in each rest room.
The Club welcomes and encourages members to use the Club for parties, business meetings, weddings, and similar events. Within certain limitations, a member may also sponsor an event for a non-member - for example, a member could sponsor a wedding reception for a friend, or a meeting of an organization.
Portland Yacht Club and its members are pleased to host visiting yachtsmen and -women, whether they arrive by sea or land. We offer reciprocity to members of other Yacht Clubs to the extent their Clubs offer reciprocity to our members. We enjoy having yacht clubs include PYC as a stop on their summer cruises.
PYC has parking for 110 to 120 vehicles, depending on use of spaces that are available but not marked. With 300 Full members, some limits must be placed on use of the parking lot when member demand for parking is high. 3. A member must request a Guest Pass for Guest parking or for a second member car during peak hours.
Ice, water, electricity, and loading carts are available. We have free WiFi in our anchorage and Clubhouse. Trash and recycling receptacles are located 100 feet from the top of the pier by the parking lot. Tie-up time at the floats may be limited to 30 minutes in very busy times. No overnight tie-up is permitted; however, we keep a dinghy on the inner float for those who may arrive after launch service ends.

This is my favorite summer spot. In terms of yacht clubs, it's a super affordable membership, especially for younger members. The sailing community here is strong and competitive. The junior program has build sailors that compete all the way to the Olympics. I only wish they welcomed weddings in the summer season!
