We bought a five year old Kohler awning in perfect shape from a private seller and when we spoke with Kohler they came out to inspect it and said it will work with our roofline with a few modifications. We agreed to the price of all modifications and install . They sent the crew out to install it and the crew left after 20 minutes. When we called the salesman back We were told it may need more modifications and they would get back to me. Many weeks had passed with no communication even though I called him and left him messages- he ghosted me. Finally I called the company directly and was told they

What a rude and obnoxious staff! We went into the showroom and there were no less than five people that saw us walk in. Everyone seemed too busy to help a potential customer so we walked around a bit. Eventually some woman with a very annoyed tone barked out "CAN WE HELP YOU WITH SOMETHING?" and then summerarily dismissed us to so something else.
You do one thing. You sell awnings. What do you think we walked into your showroom for? Did we look lost? Glad we dodged this place before we invested anything into our properties with them. If hate to have to deal with staff like that year after year

I REALLY hate to leave a 2-Star because it makes me feel like I was ripped off. Materials are top quality and for the most part all was great!. Until their guys left muddy handprints that I was PROMISED would be washed while it was in storage and before bing reinstalled, they weren’t. I had called numerous times and rarely hear back. I have brass grommets that were torn out, threads appear to be coming lose, all before the third season of use, there are tears from their installers, stripped bolts, WATER LEAKS ON YOUR HEAD, DIRECTLY OVER THE DOOR when it rains. It was the beginning of November 20/20,in Buffalo New York our weather was raining,snowing ,and of course we had winds almost the strength of a hurricane! All of a sudden we saw our front awning separate from the side and fall to the ground!the next day we called Kohler.The receptionists was very nice onthe phone said she would send someone out to look at it Jessie came out said they could fix it not until the end of December .we decided not to put our Christmas decorations out this year! To our surprise Jessie called us said they would be out first week in December.the installer came out fixed

Just had a brand new awning put up - on the 4th of July!! The whole experience was great and to have the guys out on a holiday, (especially before a really hot week), shows a real commitment to service which I have also experienced in the last 22 years the old awning was up. The guys were great, efficient, friendly and did a good job. I really liked the underside of the new awning. It is the same color as the outside (the old one was a pale, almost white, tiny pattern). Gives a much better look. Thank you! It is such a pleasure to have a totally positive experience with a business!!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They have had our umbrella covering with them since October to fix the holes that were in the covering that they did. We asked for it in April thinking it would be done they came to set it up and still haven’t fixed the holes(and we already paid for the adjustments and covering) . They took it back to fix it and wouldn’t answer for weeks. We would email them call them do everything and they would just keep telling lies saying that they were gonna come this day, and once the day comes they don’t show up. We finally got the covering after months

While they got a late start due to the covid situation they completely missed my house while doing others in me neighborhood. They said they were doing installations by geographic area and a neighborhood can't be more geographic. When I contacted them there was no apology, just "Oh, I'm surprised too" and they would be back soon. The next day I still had no response. When I reached outI got a vague reply. I have no leverage in this situation. Good customer service would have entailed getting my awning installed within a day or two. They've obviously moved on to another

I finally decided to take the plunge and replace our cheap portable screen house with a more substantial awning for my patio. I reached out to Kohler for a quote. Brian came by the house and gave me a quote. The price was very competitive and I was really impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. The excellent quality of the awning materials and the custom welded frame sealed the deal for me! it is nice to see a local company putting out such high quality products. I am a happy customer!

When I bought my home 30 years it came with a Kohler Awning. I purchased my third awning this past Spring. In Buffalo, Kohler is the best place to get a canvas awning. I have chosen the Sunbrella fabric and have never been disappointed. Great people, great price, great service. Just hope I live long enough to order my fourth.

Believe it or not, I recently received a PRIVATE Yelp message from the business manager at Kohler Awning (Marty), who tried to convince me to remove my Yelp review. After reading his message, I felt quite disappointed and irritated somehow because:
1. Why couldn't Marty make his request in public by replying to my Yelp review? Why did he send me a Yelp message behind the scene?
2. To my surprise, in the Yelp message Marty didn't even admit their own malpractice that had left me hung out to dry, rather used the incompetence of their supplier as an excuse.

Well this is my first experience working with Kohler Awning and it's not a good one. My salesman is one of the owners Marty Kohler.
Its been over 2 months and haven't heard a word. I've left messages and emsils with Marty and nothing in return. Finally i actually got a hold of someone today to explain to me that the permit process is taking all the time and havent even started building it yet. All it takes is someone to reach out and explain that. Instead of making it better they're more then willing to give me my money back.

I see we are not the only ones Kohler is ignoring. Usually, awning is up in April. This year, no word until an apology in May and the hope to get the awning up by May 30. Guess what? Still no awning.
Left off there first week of June. Turns out they did not want to put up our awning...wanted us to buy a new one. Changed company.
