At Chancellor Eye Care, each member of our vision care team is selected based upon his or her experience, professional demeanor, and dedication to providing personalized care to our optometry patients. Our entire Fredericksburg optometry staff is committed to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of each and every patient.
William R. Kossol, O.D. holds a B.S. in Biological Science degree from St. Vincent College and a B.S. in Visual Sciences and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the Pennsylvania College of optometry. He has been in private practice since graduating in 1985, and started his own Chancellor practice in August of 2001.

In an effort to make you more comfortable when you arrive at our office and to streamline the new patient process, you will be able to complete all the necessary items prior to your first visit.At Chancellor Eye Care, we strive to make sure the time we spend with you during your visit is quality time.

At Chancellor Eye Care, our goal is promote good eye health and enable you to have the clearest vision possible. We accept several types of vision insurance, cash, checks, and most credit cards. We inform our Fredericksburg patients about exam and treatment costs at the beginning of your appointment.
When appropriate, our doctors will send referrals to primary care physicians or specialists to treat systemic conditions detected during the eye examination, or to eye surgeons for treatment of eye diseases or surgery. Reports are also sent to school nurses and/or teachers regarding vision problems detected in children.

I have tried multiple eye doctors locally with results less than good. I was fit on for an emergency appointment after breaking my glasses and ripping my contacts and they really took the time to cover everything with me. I am walking out if here with the RIGHT prescription and comfortable contacts for the first time in decades. I would highly recommend this office for how well they determined my prescription, the friendly and helpful staff, the caring of the doctors and techs. I will only be coming here from now on.

If you are looking for the pinnacle of optometry look no further. Staff is fantastic, but the real gem here is Dr. Kossol! The ultimate platitude i can give him is that he is the "Kathy McDonald" of the optometry world. He is super attentive and caters his doctoring to my personal needs. I am blessed that I am under his care.

Today I came in as a "walk in" to optical to take a look at the selection of glasses here. I'm not a current patient but being that I was in the area I figured it couldn't hurt. First off, the glasses selection was awesome! They had a wide variety to choose from, much more than my current eye doctor. Second off, the staff. Wow! So helpful. The office seemed very busy today but everyone seemed so nice. Finally, I may be considering switching from my eye doctor only because I feel like I'm just a number there. At this office, it feels so inviting and kind! Good job guys, great first impression.
