Sciatic nerve is the largest single nerve in the body, it starts in the lower spine & runs down the back of each leg. It controls the muscles of the back of the knee and lower leg. It also provides sensation to the back of the thigh, part of lower leg & the sole of the foot. Sciatica is a set of symptoms caused by general compression or irritation of one of nerve roots (L4 to S3) of sciatic nerve.
It is a rubbery cushion (disc) between individual bones of the spine (vertebrae). A spinal disc is somewhat like a jelly donut with a soft center (nucleus pulposus) within a hard exterior (annulus fibrosus). I have been going to his office for many years. I have recommended him to many family and friends and they all have had a pleasurable and rewarding outcomes with Dr. Goswami.
Goswami is an outstanding professional. He truly cares about his patient. He takes the time to listen and hear what you are telling him. There is no rush, rather he will delve deeply into your pain and attempt to resolve the issue exhausting all resources. I highly recommend Dr. Goswami for anyone suffering pain.

This guy is a crook--if you in network he tells you ''no deductable'' the yrs later say ''checks'' bounced -send collection lawyers after you--last yr they sent bill for $6300---one yr later its for half of that it a ''shake down'' to see what you might ''pony'' up-do not trust this man--he ''pads'' the staff and charges more for procedures he knows may not work--he should not be allowed to practice this kind of medicine

Believe the bad reviews!! I went here with high expectations. I thought for $350 there would be x-rays there would be some kind of examination, something to justify this price. I was highly mistaken. He brings you into a room for a brief 10-minute interview (if it was even that long) and prescribes you muscle relaxers.

I don't know how he is in business I don't know how people go to him. The wait was long over an hour just to see him. He takes all of his appointments at exactly the same time and that is the reason for the long wait. My only guess is that people with insurance don&apos

I went to him after seeing another dr that wanted to perform an endoscopic discectomy on me to get a second opinion. he ended up doing a non invasive nerve ablation on me and it cured my pain. He did not seem pushy at all and went over my options. I was not billed anything out of pocket. He was in network for aetna and was very nice and helpful I would highly recommend.

Pushy, salesman type tactics. Went for a 15 minute consult, ended up with a $300 bill because he was out of network, i didn't use him for treatment and he's apparently greedy. There must be more ethical, knowledgeable docs out there.
