Kenneth B. Simmons Associates, LLC (KBSA) is a privately owned business established in 1946 for the practice of landscape architecture and land planning. Kenneth B. Simmons, Sr., the founder, was the first South Carolina born landscape architect and established the first landscape architectural firm in South Carolina.
Since its beginning, the firm has been a leader in the profession, including leading the lobbying efforts for the establishment of registration of landscape architects in South Carolina. In continuing to serve the profession Kenneth B. Simmons, Jr., served in many roles including, President of the Council of Landscape Architecture Registration Board (CLARB).
