Ranch Motel

What was expected of a motel in a small town. Affordable rates. Will stay again if I'm in Salem, Mo.

Housekeeping tryed to just come in with there key first day. Then second day guy from front desk tryed to tell me i had to go because i only paid for one day when i paid for 3 nights then he realized when u pay with card it dont go all the way through till checkout. They were very rude and no apologies for being stupid. Wont stay there again.

The good: Cheaper than the other hotel around here, beds are actually pretty ok, friendly staff.
The bad: Door frame and locks seem pretty shabby. Bathroom tile is glossy and it makes me think the floor is covered in water every time I go to the bathroom.
Other: Most hotels have signs of wear and tear and this hotel is no exception. I note this however because there are easily fixable issues here with some spackle and paint that would make the room look nicer.

Front office closes at 10pm, this is not stated anywhere on their website. We showed up at 10:30pm and office guy was super rude when we called him to get our key. Booked a double cabin room direct on their website….they didn’t have my reservation and said it wasn’t paid for…even though you do give payment information on their book now feature. Front office guy had no idea what was going on and was on the phone talking it through with someone. We had booked the cabin because it was listed as pet friendly and we had our small dog with us. They sold our room, so he put us in the main building

The place was great staff was so nice and super helpful I would definitely stay there again

A double bed isn't comfortable enough for 2 senior citizens. Need to have king size bed.

Stuck looking for a motel at 11 pm at night. The other chain hotel in town was sold out. Although this looks like an old style motel, it had everything we needed. Nice large picnic area/park like space in the middle of the grounds with a pool. Great price. Would stay here again.

A very nice, clean and reasonable priced motel. Had a one night stay, bed very comfortable!!!!!

The man in the office is rude. Why be in a business dealing with the public if you don't like the public. I will never stay here just because of that guy. Save your money and stay somewhere they appreciate your business. It seems as though they make up rules as they go.

Considering all things it was pretty good,had clean rooms,comfortable bed,fresh coffee in room!

Class A service. Real good location, easy on/off highway. Well maintained 9 foot deep pool. Interior garden. VERY PET FRIENDLY, fire pits, picnic tables, internet reception is there but they are trying (at no fault of their own) to get 1tb internet out here. Stay here

I would give this 0 stars if i could...This motel is pretty ridiculous to say the least they like to make rules up as they go...the rooms are never clean your feet will turn black from the carpets that are supposedly clean ...they also waited for my family to make the 8 hour drive down before saying they changed their pet policy to 40 dollars per pet which they want in cash so they dont get taxed on it ....mmmm sounds a little shady oh yeh and you are not allowed to have guests use the pool even if your staying for a week to specifically visit family and the entire hotel is empty their complimentary

This is a great motel. Very clean, great service and location. We pulled a trailer full of kayaks and the parking was very accommodating.

Customer service was by far the rudest i have ever incountered. Ranch motel expected my friends to drive 200 miles on icey roads because they were a year below 21. Wouldnt allow me who is of age to book the room in my name. Simply unprofessional! I have never had such a hard time dealing with similar situations.

Standard, middle-of-nowhere motel. Completely overpriced, but smart enough to charge as much as they do considering as you're in the middle of no where--where else will you go?

Also, no military discounts? Seriously? Kick rocks.
