Basal Cell Carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer. Basal cell carcinoma usually develops on skin that receives the most sun exposure such as the face, ears, scalp, neck, arms and hands. However, basal cell carcinoma can develop on any part of your body, including areas that do not regularly get sun exposure.
Squamous Cell Carcinoma is the second most common type of skin cancer. It can occur anywhere on the body, but is most commonly found on sun exposed skin such as the face, scalp, ears, neck hands and forearms. The most common warning sign of a squamous cell skin cancer is a visible change on the skin such as a non healing bump or a new growth.
Malignant Melanoma is a very dangerous type of skin cancer because it can spread quickly to other parts of the body where it becomes hard to treat. It is the leading cause of death from skin cancer and it is estimated that over 10,000 people die from it every year. Melanoma comes from skin cells called melanocytes.
Although basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma are the most common skin cancers, there are other types of cancer that can start out as a growth on the skin. Examples are dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, sebaceous cell carcinoma, merkel cell carcinoma, and leiomyosarcoma. Although less common, these tumors can behave very aggressively and can be lethal if not diagnosed and treated promptly.

Mixed reviews here after seeing two doctors. The first experience was good but right before COVID shut everything down. When I was able to get in a second time by experience was not pleasant. I had a 4:45 appointment and was back in my vehicle leaving by 5:02. The majority of that time was spent speaking with the very friendly and professional front desk and nurse before the Dr arrived. When the doctor arrived she hardly looked at my skin, and quickly prescribed the same medications and treatment that the previous dr had (which did not work). I was disappointed by that visit and even more so when

Dr. Khoury provided an excellent and thorough exam—far better than any other dermatology check ups available in Jackson, where the main objective is to freeze as many little spots off as possible before the patient objects. Dr. Khoury was professional and sensitive. My skin is sensitive, it’s easy for me to feel embarrassed—but she was excellent!!!

The front desk did not feel very welcoming,
Missed some details.
Dr.Khoury and Brittany were extremely eager to be thorough and explained everything.
I really appreciated the time they took. I did not feel like I was rushed in and out
A delight in these times.

Dr Koury made me feel comfortable as she identified and explained what she saw. She explained treatment options yet did not try to sell me on one. I will go back for sure.

Robin took such great care of me with a thorough skin check and removal of concerning moles. She was incredibly accommodating with me bringing my 4 month old infant to the appointment. Highly recommend her!

I am very particular about selecting doctors. Dr Baker is an excellent dermatologist, adequately conservative in his diagnosis and very thorough. His staff is courteous, helpful and competent.

Dr Khoury gave a great total body exam and offered good advice for a couple questions I had. Overall my visit was very good, until I exited to front desk and inquired about the charges. I had inky one small spot treated ( frozen?) and my office visit was over $425!!!
My visit last year was half of this amount snd I must say that I’m very unhappy not knowing g iof the exam price increases since the buy out/merging with Epiphany.. I feel former patients ( from when the Bakers owned the practice) should have been notified of price increases prior to visits. I am on a budget bridge insurance snd

Although my tech that helped me was absolutely fabulous, the initial customer service needs a lot of reorganization. It is too difficult to make an appointment as calls are never returned and appointments are "dropped". I had 3 appointments in a row that mysteriously canceled. It is disturbing and disappointing that no one heard my verbal feedback.

Called and called, no one answered the phone. Probably short staffed like everyone else in the valley which I understand because we are at my work too, but the least they could do is leave a message on their answering machine that says "we are short handed and may take over a week to respond or we are not taking any new patients". I left a message a week ago and no one ever got back to me. I was recommended by a friend who said she knows the doctors personally so I'm sure she'll be disappointed and embarrassed for recommending them when I tell her my experience.
