Services
Development Resources of Iowa, Inc. is the only manufacturer of Roll-O-Matic barn curtain ventilation systems. We are located in Northeast Iowa. We do not just specialize in Roll-O-Matic barn curtain systems - that is all we manufacture and is all we sell. We have sales representatives and a dealer network that covers the United States and abroad.
We made our decision to purchase Roll-O-Matic Curtains because of the good things we had heard from other customers. They are simple and easy to use with no pulleys to worry about. They are strong, durable and they have a great installation crew. With Roll-O-Matic Curtains it's nice to have all of our controls in one area to run the whole barn.
There are a lot of decisions that are made when planning a new barn or remodeling a barn. One of those decisions is what curtain system to use for your ventilation needs. Some factors to consider in making the decision include the size of the livestock that will be in the building, the fans or plan for air flow, the size of the opening, and the weather conditions & temperature fluctuations in your area.
The 1 piece 3 hem curtain system is typically used in smaller openings or in applications where the curtains tend to be open or closed. Because the first air comes in at the wall height this system sometimes works better for larger animals not as vulnerable to illness from air temperature changes.
The 5 hem curtain system has two curtains for each run. The bottom curtain looks and operates like the 1 piece 3 hem curtain except that the top pipe of the system is mounted about a third of the way down from the header and the 3 hem curtain rolls up to that point. The top curtain in the system has 2 hems and generally covers about one-third of the clear opening.
