My mom was there. She is unable to walk or use her right arm so she was totally dependent on them. 6 years ago it was a good place but management has changed (multiple times). The administrator now is rude, snippy and had a negative answer for anything I brought up. My 97 year old , 90 pound mom was injured multiple times while transferring from bed to recliner. A few years ago they took a chunk out of her leg that sent her to ER and had to be sewn up. This year they injured her leg again, first in March. While trying to heal they reinjured twice more, it got infected, she was on 2 antibiotics

Can't get anyone to ever give you a direct answer. No one ever returns phone calls. if you ask the same question every day, you will get a different answer each time.
my question to anyone needing to get help for a family member is Would You want to leave your loved one in the care of people that cannot return calls or answer questions that you have.

Nice place before COVID hit. Once they restricted visitors, all care went drastically downhill. The majority of employees quite due to poor management. Several complaints were filed to the LA Health Department but nothing changed. DO NOT put your loved one in this facility. Management is lacking in all areas.

The facility is nice, but they are grossly understaffed. Residents are neglected and there have been multiple recent abuse cases. Management is either incompetent or complicit. Maybe both. Also, they will not get rid of the bedbug problem. Looks can be deceiving. Beware...underneath that pretty facade is total nightmare.

Mom seems to be happy here. I like that everyone has to sign in at the front door. However I have gotten past the sign in desk several times without being asked to sign in. There is no bad smell so far. I like how the building is in small communities. Mom has not been here for long so I have not had a lot of interaction with the staff. So far everyone is nice and helpful. I will update my review in a few months.

My aunt is a resident @ The Guest House, she love's everything about this facility, the staff treat the residents as if they are their family, which I have witnessed myself. From Nursing staff, Dietary, Social services, Admission, Bookkeeper, Dietary, Housekeeping, Laundry, Maintenance, they are wonderful, always willing to help regardless if it's their department or not. I have never witness anyone saying "not my job, not my patient", so thank you Guest House for your hard work and ensuring our Senior Citizens receive the best of care! Love you all!

My mother in law was in here before she passed away. I have never in my life seen such a clean and well equipped home like I did there. The workers are awesome! Thank you to all the staff that took care of Carolyn Stephens. I just cant say enough good things about them ! If you have someone that really needs to be taken care of in an expert way, take them here.
