When interventional procedures are performed at our Western Washington pain clinics, they are offered by Board Certified pain doctors who have exceptional skill and compassion.
Occipital Neuralgia is a distinct type of headache characterized by piercing, throbbing, or electric-shock-like chronic pain in the upper neck, back of the head, and behind the ears, usually on one side of the head. Typically, the pain begins in the neck and then spreads upwards. This condition can cause intense pain that feels like a sharp, jabbing, electric shock in the back of the head and neck.
Trigeminal neuralgia is a chronic pain condition that affects the trigeminal nerve, which carries sensation from your face to your brain. If you have this type of neuralgia, even mild stimulation of your face - such as from brushing your teeth or putting on makeup - may trigger a jolt of excruciating pain.
Migraine headaches are a headache of varying intensity, often accompanied by nausea and sensitivity to light and sound. Migraines are sometimes preceded by warning symptoms. Triggers include hormonal changes, certain foods and drinks, stress, and exercise. Migraines can cause throbbing in one particular area that can vary in intensity.
Cervicogenic headaches are secondary headaches caused by problems with the bones, nerves or soft tissue in the neck or cervical spine area. The pain typically starts in the neck and travels up to the head. This type of headache can be a debilitating medical condition that seriously impacts your quality of life.

I've been a patient at Peninsula Pain Clinic, Bremerton Location for approximately 3.5years. Wes is my provider. He is very professional and at the same time, very personable. He treats me with respect; he listens to my complaints and offers sound advice and it helps tremendously that he has a solid background in Orthopaedics. In addition, the front and back-office staff are compassionate and professional. Thank you for treating me so well.

Jackie always is so friendly and professional. She shows she cares when you come to your appt. She has even helped my granddaughter not fear doctors anymore. Vaughn has been the best. He always listens and wants to know how he can help. He cares and is always happy. They both make my Dr appts so much better . Wished we had more than five stars to give. They deserve it.

I started working with Vaughn a few months ago and was sold within 5 minutes of meeting him and his team. I truly appreciate my opinion being included in any changes to my medications. From the minute you walk into the clinic you feel very welcomed. Thank you Michelle! Once in your room Jackie comes in to take your vitals and once again you feel not only welcomed but like you met a new friend. Then Vaughn comes in to go over your medical needs. He’s thorough and thoughtful yet makes you feel like you’re his next door neighbor. (The one you like!) Never have I been so comfortable in a medical setting. These people are great!

I have consistently received excellent care with Peninsula Pain clinic.
Being one with multiple back and neck issues, pain is not new to me!
I refuse to take pain medications that are habit forming so it is important to have providers that are willing to assist me in this area. When seeking assistance with my pain, the care provider listens attentively and offers me options that consistently provide relief!

The staff is amazing and welcoming. I enjoy the small conversations with every employee at the Bremerton location. If you are in need of this type of service I highly recommend to at least have a consultation appointment. Vaughn and Jackie are just the absolute best team I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting! I normally get extremely uncomfortable with doctors but with them I feel completely at ease.
