We recently received a donation of fabric from Crooked Brook, a full service apparel design, pattern making, sample making, private-label small lot production, direct-to garment printing and embroidery studio. Since 1989, they have built a strong reputation of providing top-notch apparel designs, patterns, fit and production samples for many brand name catalogs and retailers, as well as wardrobe and costumes for movies, television and theater.
Services
Sewing Hope is a ministry of Immanuel Chapel, serving our local community and other nations. Students are taught how to make a pattern that fits, and how to do fashion design and garment construction. The written manuals have been translated into Spanish and Vietnamese. The English versions are excellent tools to teach English as a second language.
Sewing Hope provides a means to train others in our own community as well as internationally. Sewing Hope also affords the opportunity to share the gospel with more people in a personal and non-threatening environment. Beverly Easterling, who oversees this project, has taught the "Magic Fit" pattern sewing course in Vietnam, Thailand, Ecuador and Cuba.
