Central Texas Iron Works was established in 1910 as a foundry in Waco, Texas and has grown over the last century as one of North America's largest and highly respected industrial structural steel fabricators. CTIW has an extensive quality assurance program that is committed to quality and service for our customers with annual audits by AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction) and the Canadian Welding Bureau.

Today, CTIW operates two structural steel fabrication facilities providing more capacity to our customers at the same level of quality and service.
CTIW is a 100 year old company with a very long track record of success in supplying structural steel to some of the world's largest industrial facilities. As a specialist in the Industrial Marketplace, CTIW is required to have an elevated level of sophisticated operating procedures and sensitivity to customer needs and requirements.
CTIW has an extensive quality assurance program that is committed to quality and service for our customers with annual audits by AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction) and the Canadian Welding Bureau. Additionally, our quality program has a Type I Structural approved license by the City of Los Angeles.
Safety is a top priority at Central Texas Iron Works. Working with structural steel is one of the most dangerous jobs in America, but the CTIW team refuses to accept injuries as commonplace in the industry. As a team, CTIW employees have worked 16 years and more than 6 million hours (and counting) without a lost time injury.
In today's global marketplace, CTIW offers a unique solution to customers seeking structural steel fabrication supply from international sources. CTIW is a subsidiary of The Herrick Corporation that also owns Thai-Herrick and operates a large structural fabrication facility in Rayong, Thailand.

Our recently constructed facility in Rayong, Thailand is strategically located within close proximity to the Port of Laem Chabang to enhance our logistics effectiveness for international export.Our global supply strategy includes both domestic and international fabrication capacity that is managed by CTIW's proven performance of project management services and provides a single point of domestic contact for our customers.

Must have been a great place to work, My dad Tom Smith worked for Mr. Winchell from 1963-1970 as HR person. Always spoke highly of him and the company.
