Services
The caring and experienced professionals at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. are here to support you through this difficult time. We offer a range of personalized services to suit your family's wishes and requirements. You can count on us to help you plan a personal, lasting tribute to your loved one.
A funeral service is a special time for family and friends to comfort one another, begin to find healing and celebrate a life. Whether you choose burial or cremation, you can hold a gathering to honor your loved one. We are happy to provide a more traditional ceremony or something completely unique.
Our Funeral Home was constructed circa 1881 and still maintains much of its original design. The Victorian building features detailed woodwork, elegant paintings, and priceless stained glass. There are eight fireplaces made of different materials such as ceramic, brick and stone; thus enhancing the character of the building.
Meaningful memorialization of a loved one's passing can transform, heal, and comfort us. It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.
The overwhelming feelings of despair, disbelief, shock, and numbness caused by the passing of a loved one cannot be conveyed by mere words. Even when the death is expected, the pain that loss brings can still be devastating. In truth, no one is completely prepared for the death of someone close to their heart.

There was no question as to which funeral home to choose to assist with services for my son. It's always been DellaVecchia/Reilly in West Chester.
The staff is very professional, helpful, kind, caring, and knowledgeable. In addition, their facility is top notch. The entire staff always responded immediately and followed up promptly. Highly recommend.

Joe DellaVecchia did an outstanding job taking care of my husband who died unexpectedly while we were on a winter vacation in Florida. He was a great listener, and attended to every detail of my husband's return to Pennsylvania, his preparation for burial, the Covid best practices and arrangements at the church, the cemetery, and more, so that my children and I could focus on each other and our extended family and friends who were grieving with us. It was a terrible time for us as a family, but Joe helped us make it a beautiful celebration of life, and for that I will be forever grateful.

Joe DellaVecchia assisted us with the unexpected funeral for my mother recently. Joe was very helpful, kind and patient. I did not know what to expect as I hadn't needed the services of a funeral home for about 15 years The Funeral Home building is well kept, clean, beautiful, homey and inviting. I like the fact that the business is a… multi-generational family business. The communication was great, they were available around the clock and took care of paying for all of the services (e.g. cemetery opening, casket, burial) so we only had to pay one bill, everything was included. At the time

This family business is the most professional and caring team around. They are such a blessing in very tough times. They are not a business but a ministry. I recommend them as a church pastor and as one whom they have cared for in recent dark days. West Chester is blessed to have them now and for many years to come. Rev Ann Dickey
