I am a Clinical Psychologist who strives to support and empower individuals to grow and reach fulfillment in their lives. I like to think about life as a long road trip. Sometimes the terrain is going to be rocky & there will be obstacles in the way and sometimes it will be smooth and open. As your therapist, I will help you to navigate the terrain of life effectively.
You have control of the wheel and I will hold the space for you to navigate. If we make a good team, I would love to take this trip together. Please feel free to explore this website to learn more about me, my practice, and the services I offer.

Services
From an early age, I knew that I had a passion for helping others. Along my journey in life, my passion only grew stronger. At 19, I had one of my first experiences working in the field; I volunteered to be a rape crisis counselor on a hotline. There, I learned that truly listening is one of the most important gifts someone can give to another.
I utilize a client centered approach to treatment that honors the unique story of each adult that I work with. I also use techniques from mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, and dialectical behavior therapy. I utilize a trauma specific treatment (EMDR) when working with individuals who are working through traumatic experiences.
I utilize a client-centered approach with adolescents and often use pop culture, media, music, art, and games as a way of connecting with adolescent clients. I incorporate mindfulness, dialectical behavioral, and cognitive behavioral therapies into my approach as well. In my work with teenagers, I often utilize a systemic approach and encourage family involvement.
In following a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) based approach, I teach clients mindfulness skills (the ability to be aware in the present moment with nonjudgmental acceptance), as well as skills to regulate their emotions, tolerate distress, and be effective in interpersonal relationships. DBT holds that much of life is about creating space for dialectical balance.
Currently, I am in network with MHN, Tricare, and Lyra Health. I am out of network for all other insurance companies. If I am not in network with your insurance company, you may still be eligible to receive benefits. Check with your PPO insurance plan to find out if you have out-of-network mental health coverage, what the reimbursement rate is and how many sessions your plan covers.
