Her dream involved being more client-focused rather than numbers focused; an oddity amongst other accounting firms, but a holistic approach to financial and tax needs was something she felt was needed in the 21st century. In addition to the usual services such as bookkeeping, payroll, business and personal taxes, Kim likes to provide coaching.
I believe in the red carpet treatment for my clients. I have over 20 years experience with tax and accounting. I am a BBA graduate from Averett University and have my Masters in Forensic Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. I am not your typical accountant and I wanted my company name to reflect that.
Here is a basic checklist that will aid you in gathering your tax documents for your 2020 tax return. If you are a new client, I will need to make a copy of your social security card, and driver's license. If you are a new client, I will need social security cards and birth dates for you and your dependents.
For the first four months of the new year, we have a lot of fun working around the clock for all our clients to ensure we do our best work and that we do it accurately. As is the nature of the beast, though, that means working on several clients returns each and every day until the end of tax season.

Professional, personable, and a very talented staff. AOB does a great job leading those who don't have (and don't care to have) tax knowledge thru the murky, ever changing tax environment. Kim and her staff stay up to date on these changes and can explain them so you understand. And they are quite funny to be accountants.
As an IT guy, I value streamline process and the value add they provide. AOB has their process down, was simple and easy and mostly done from my phone.

The most important thing about hiring an accountant or firm, in my opinion is 100% trust. And I have found that with Kim and her staff at Accounting Outside the Box. And being a small business owner myself, I need someone that is able to go through my records with a fine tooth comb to make sure I'm not screwing it up, LOL! And THEY DO THIS. Kim and her team was amazing. She helped me clear up some back taxes in such a timely manner and really helped relieved the really stressful process it is.i was never worried since she always took the time to answer questions and explain what was going on. I have used kim since 2007! She is always available when I need her. She had help me though this last year for my business for the ppp. Get me grants and anything else to get my financials for my business. I respect her and her advice completely.
