Camp Dixie is a traditional summer camp for boys and girls located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northeast Georgia. Camp Dixie is a small private residential camp founded by A.A. Jameson in 1914. For 100 years, generations of families have enjoyed the traditions and shared the memories of their summers at Camp Dixie.
Our rich history and limited enrollment are what sets us apart from other camps. Limiting our enrollment to around 70 campers, ages 6 to 15, allows us to emphasize the "family" atmosphere that we feel is so important. While providing a safe and supportive environment, Camp Dixie creates a unique setting where campers can make new friends and learn new skills, while learning more about themselves.

The Dixie Camps are two privately owned residential summer camps - Camp Dixie for Girls and Camp Dixie for Boys. Our 350 acre site is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Clayton, Georgia, just 100 miles northeast of Atlanta and minutes from the Carolina State lines. At an elevation of 3000 feet, we are in the heart of the Chattahoochee National Forest known for its natural beauty.
Camp activities are supposed to be "FUN". Parents can be assured that our activities are also safe, wholesome and constructive. Since campers' interests and capabilities vary greatly, we offer a wide choice of activities. Some of the most popular activities are swimming, diving, canoeing, individual and team sports, crafts, dramatics, camp newspaper, backpacking, nature, outdoor living skills, and leadership programs.
There is something for everyone no matter whether you like hiking through the woods, playing in the water or hitting a home run! With so many activities planned each day, you will be having fun from sun up to sun down. Each activity is kept small with only eight campers to an activity so everyone has an opportunity to participate rather than just being a spectator.
Each week at council fire, campers eagerly look forward to receiving their awards. We have several different award programs - - Honor awards, activity awards, special awards and novelty awards. The Honor Awards are our most cherished awards. The campers who receive a Honor Award exemplify the qualities of our seven principles through their daily living.
High school students who have completed their sophomore year and have shown good leadership skills as a camper may be chosen to participate in our Counselor-in-Training Program. The CT Program offers young people an opportunity to learn how to become effective leaders as well as how to plan, organize and conduct activities and programs while still having an opportunity to participate in the camp program.

I am a Mama Bear and very protective of my family. I sent two teens here this week. I really was fighting myself to do it or not since they have a no cellphone policy. But I did send them and very happy I did. My girls loved it and cryed when we left Friday. I have been praying for them to make good Christian friends and they made alot here and now talk on phone. It really changed their life In a positive way. They cryed in teen ministry and really was touched by GOD. They had a blast and will be going till 12 grade. They even want to work there now to. They liked the food, staff, friends and place

I got the chance to go here with my church's youth group for a few days as a volunteer. Before the second day was over kids were coming up to me begging to come back every year after! We all had a blast, adults and teens alike, and next year we are hoping to bring more kids from a wider range of ages😁 I would definitely recommend this place.

I've been going to camp here for over 7 years and I also work there over the summer just because of how much I love it. No matter when you go, you'll have a great time and it will leave you wanting to come back. It's a great place to send kids for summer camp because there are so many activities to do and good experiences and a closer relationship to God will definitely come of it.
