At Lake Mendocino Podiatry, our board certified foot doctor, Matthew McQuaid, DPM is dedicated to solving all of your foot and ankle problems. Services
To keep you and your loved ones safe, know that we have taken all recommended state and medical association precautions. If you are a new patient, print and fill out the new patient paperwork and bring it with you to initial appointment. Sneezing, watery eyes, and/or sinus pain/pressure that is unusual and not related to seasonal allergies.
Matthew McQuaid, DPM is a board-certified surgeon serving Lake and Mendocino counties. He is licensed to treat all of your foot and ankle problems. Dr. McQuaid is a native of San Francisco. He completed a three-year surgical residency at Detroit Medical Center and a fellowship following that in Mainz, Germany.
Our office is dedicated to providing the highest quality care in a respectable, efficient manner. As a team, we will strive to meet patient's needs and reduce wait time. Our goal is to embrace change, and not struggle with it. A course will be set by establishing a network of cooperation through empowerment, cross training and trust.
During the first visit, we make sure to obtain important background information, like your medical history, and give you time to get to know your doctor. We accept most insurances. List of current prescriptions and/or over-the-counter medication, including dose and frequency. You are responsible for co-payments or charges that are not covered by your insurance.
Dr. McQuaid is available to treat foot and ankle ailments such as diabetic foot care, ingrown toenails, fungal toenails, warts and painful calluses. Our practice specializes in general foot care. Great doctor with lots of experience. He knew what was wrong and how to fix it very quickly. He also told me what I could do to help. The staff is friendly and efficient. I think I had to wait max 5 min to get in for each of my visits. They even fit me in when I showed up on the wrong day. Well done, thank you!

I wanted to publicly thank Dr. McQuaid and his lovely staff for their professionalism and overall courteous nature. I was always greeted with smiling eyes. Over a few short weeks Dr. McQuaid was able to diagnose and prescribe a solution in the form of custom orthotics to alleviate the pain I was feeling in my right foot. I’m old enough to have had more than my share of injections and Dr. McQuaid is without question the most skilled technician with a syringe I’ve ever encountered. Thank you Doctor. Dr. McQuaid has been my podiatrist for over two years and since I am moving out of state I want to leave him with a review.
Dr. McQuaid and his staff are awesome, always friendly and professional, they remember you at each visit and pay close attention to your needs. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to be treated which is unusual since most medical offices overbook their appointments and waiting rooms are full.

If I could give ten stars, I would. Dr. McQuaid and his office staff are knowledgeable, very pleasant, great bedside manner, and comfortable to be with as a patient. Dr. McQuaid looks for the cause of the problem, not satisfied with just a band aid type of solution. After discovering the cause of the problem, he takes the action to best fit the problem. He relieved my pain on the very first visit. I highly recommend him, as did the person who recommended him to me!

Dr.McQuaid, Chanel, and Becky have been taking excellent care of me and my family for many years. I've had numerous issues with my feet and ankles and Dr.McQuaid takes his time to find what's best for your personal care. I get in and out quickly and never wait long in the waiting room. This was my first appointment with Dr. Mcquaid, and I was very pleased by the service from all of the staff. Everyone in the office was very nice and personable. They were able to get me an appointment very soon after I called, even as a new patient. Dr. Mcquaid has great bed side manner and is very upfront and honest. He allows you to decide what you would like done and does not push you into doing anything. I came in to get an inflamed ingrown toenail taken care of. Dr. Mcquaid was able to fix it painlessly. I will be back if I have any future foot or ankle problems!

I have been a patient of Dr. McQuaid's for several years. He operated on my bunion, which was very successful! As a walker who tries to get 15,000 steps in a day, I have also endured some other feet problems. Dr. McQuaid always finds the problem and a solution. Great care, great staff, great follow-up! I highly recommend Dr. McQuaid for your podiatry issues. I have been going to him since the early 2000's when I first had Achilles issues and most recently with bunions. His care plan includes informed options which enabled me to make an informed decision on my treatment plan. The results have been terrific and I am now pain free! I broke my foot in two places and was very discouraged. Couldn't drive, couldn't put any weight on my foot for over six weeks and on crutches. I live alone and had to ask my friends to even take out my garbage for me. The bright spot in this whole ordeal was Dr. McQuaid and his staff. I was always treated with such concern and kindness. I always felt like when I was in his office for my appointment that I was the most important patient he had. I highly recommend Dr. McQuaid - he is a skilled Doctor and a kind and mindful person.

Last week, in the midst of moving into a new home, I fell down a flight of stairs and broke my ankle. The timing was very unfortunate. However, Dr. McQuaid was able to fit me into his schedule that very same day! I was x-rayed, diagnosed, given treatment options, and within a very short time left his office in a cast. I could not be more pleased with Dr. McQuaid and his staff!! I highly recommend him to all my family and friends. Incidentally, almost three years ago to the day, I broke my foot. The break required surgery, which Dr. McQuaid performed beautifully, and my foot has been perfectly fine
