Nestled in a quiet cove at the north end of scenic Flathead Lake, in Somers Montana. North Flathead Yacht Club was formed in 1975, and has grown into the premier sailing venue in Montana. With many active fleets including 4 PHRF fleets and several One design fleets. NFYC has an active Junior sailing program in both Opti's and Lasers.
Currently we are limited to by size and facilities to 140 active family memberships, NFYC provides an excellent opportunity for sailors to experience competitive racing in one of the most scenic venues in the world. Services
The North Flathead Yacht Club was formed by a group of racing sailors to provide a convenient place from which to conduct races. Its long range purpose is to provide an organization and physical plant to enhance the enjoyment by its members of the sport of sailing. It should maintain a strong racing program, and provide cruising events, social events and safety programs for its members.

NFYC's Junior Sailing program is a fun and exciting way to introduce and teach the children of club members and community members the basics of sailing and advance toward becoming racing members of the yacht club. The Junior Program this year will offer a variety of basic beginner, intermediate, advance sailing classes.
