Sonny's Pizzeria

Quick service and no frills eatery. We ordered the Nashville hot sandwich and supreme pizza without olives. Both were good for what we needed, something to soak up the booze in our stomachs.

The Nashville hot didn't have a pickle and was a little hotter than I would've liked. The personal pizza was good, nothing to write home about. They seemed to have a good beer selection but were out of the beers I had a taste for at the time.

Amazing pizza! My family and I ordered the large signature stuffed pizza. It was unlike anything we've ever tasted before... and that's saying a lot, since we're from Chicago. Wonderful experience and the staff were all very sweet. Highly recommend to all.

I tried Sonny's for the first time today. The spaghetti with meat balls. It was pretty good, could have used a little more sauce but it was good. Lemonade to drink and the meal came with a salad you can build at the salad bar. They have a buffet lunch all you can eat midday that is $7.99 but I chose the spaghetti because I was craving it. The views out the windows are amazing, even on a rainy day like today. Service was good. I just wish there was homestyle garlic bread. I'll be back though

My feelings about this place are about as awful as it gets. We came here strictly because it was within walking distance of our resort. After browsing the menu we didn't have great expectations but we're incredibly hungry and it was convenient. The pesto pasta (I don't recall if it was gnocchi or not) had OK flavor at first but then we realized it was like a pool of oil. My husband was not able to complete the meal as he felt sick. The dish was just incredibly heavy and every bite was just saturated. Not many of the kids offerings had protein in them, so I asked if it would be possible

The cauliflower crust pizza was delicious! We sat at the bar and had great service, great views and a relaxing night. I'd come back for the pizza and I love pizza! The portions of pasta were huge and our bar mates seemed to enjoy them, although they will be eating leftovers for days!!

Yep- all the reviews are correct. It's food to keep you from starving. The bar is downstairs the food is upstairs. Plan to wait a minimum of 1 hr to eat.

Beautiful location. The Buffalo Mac and cheese is AMAZING!! I usually get pizza and it is always good. A great place to go with a group of people!

Nice location on the water in downtown sturgeon bay. Stopped with the family and enjoyed the views. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was very average. Not bad but nothing mind blowing with not a whole lot of wow factor flavor. Big portions for the cost.

The 2 stars are for the bartender/ waitress who after being commandeered by me in desperation finally helped our party of 13 adults and three extremely well behaved kids! We called at 4pm and were assured they could accommodate our party at 7:00 even tho they didn't take reservations. We arrived at 7 and were told 1 1/2 hour wait. We waited! No other alternatives were open . At the appointed time we started inquiring about being seated. Only the 2nd time visiting Door County as well as the 1st time dining here and went with the lunch buffet.
Excellent location near the Sturgeon Bay Bridge with some lovely views of the bay. I would imagine this place gets packed and kickin' late night on the wknds.
Venue is kept clean/sanitized, staff is friendly, prices seem reasonable especially the all-you-can-eat pizza & salad buffet at only $7.99 per adult, believe it was $4.99 or $5.99 for my 6 year old son.
Pizza was good, salad could've been better but no biggie. Very nice bar area and next time we come up for a visit, definitely gonna

We had a wonderful meal and drinks with friends! Even with all the cars we went in, received a buzzer and only waited about 20 minutes. Outside or inside dining too!! We had a booth but you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery from the tables along the windows. My friend and I had the Taco salad and guys had the shrimp special! Both very good and filling!

Went here looking for some good Italian, as it was the closest we could find on our trip. The reviews were split so we took a shot at it anyway. There was a dead bug in the menu, the waitress ignored us, they got our order wrong, the food took over 30 minutes to come out and overall it was just a dirty place. When they got the order wrong they had a new one within 5 minutes. We ordered two of the rigatoni with vodka sauce and the one was wrong, when it came out fresh, it was completely different looking and tasting than the first one. Our food was clearly sitting in the back for a very long time

We always make Sonny's our first stop as we enter Door County. It's a great lunch spot after a long ride up and the nautical atmosphere gets you into vacation mode. Sitting on the patio with a beer, watching boats and boaters come in and out is a relaxing back drop. The pizza and pastas are fantastic! There are a lot of different pasta dishes to choose from which is a homey and comforting after you've been sitting in a car for several hours. Large portions mean great left overs for a night in after a long day of adventure later in the week.

This is one of the best pizza I have ever had. Can't wait to come back and try other ones on the menu. The staff are all polite and sweet. Recommend to try

This is a happening restaurant in town. Located right at the dock they get visitors coming by foot and by boats. They have live bands playing outside which kept everyone entertained.

The restaurant does not have any covid restrictions in place so if you are concerned about social distance, masks, and cleanliness then this place is not for you.

We only did a carry out from here and the service was average. The lady at the reception desk did not know where we would pickup food and sent us downstairs. We had their vegetarian pizzas and the food was good.

What a cool place. The food was good, amazing view of the harbor and the service was above and beyond. We got the buffet, for $7.99 you get salad bar, all you can eat pizza and even ice cream….you can’t beat that!!!! Worth the visit if in the area, even has outside seating. Thank the ladies for the great service and always had a smile on their face.

Chicago-style, family-owned pizzeria with amazing lake views. Authentic italian ingredients and entrees which will win you over. We indulged in the following menu items and highly recommend that they be eaten together: lobster ravioli w/ shrimp, chicken alfredo pizza, margarita pizza and rigatoni boscaiola. And of course, if you're of age, you would want to wash it down with a few glasses of Prosecco. With an abundance of outdoor dining options alongside of accessibile waitstaff, no wonder why this establishment has been open for over 20 years. Kudos to both the owner and management for providing

My wife and I took a little mini vacation to Door County. Walked around Sturgeon Bay and saw Sonny's. It caught our eye; It was cute and on the water with outdoor seating. The servers (Carrissa) did a good job keeping drinks filled and such. I had the 1/2 pound shrimp, fries and slaw. The shrimp came out way overdone and a old grease taste. The slaw was terrible but the fries being average saved the day. My wife had the Southwest chicken salad. She said it was very average and the chicken tasted like a frozen chicken plopped in the microwave. She said her favorite part of the meal

We were camping in the area and my wife and I decided to stop in for lunch. We ate outside but the table we got sat at didn't have a view, was in the shade, and it was cold so we asked to be moved downstairs into the sun. This apparently created some process issues for them because of different bars or something like that, I wanted some micro beers from downstairs but couldn't get them or they had a different drink menu or something. It was all very confusing so I just ordered a bloody mary which was very good.

We ordered the Sonny’s signature pizza with thin crust. It was very good we will eat here again. Their menu has a variety of pizzas & Italian dishes to choose from. Also ordered 2 Beer Up knee high beers. The brewery is downstairs & this particular beer was very smooth & easy drinking. A beer list includes a good variety of beers from Beer Up & other Door County breweries.

We stumbled on this place by accident really. We were looking for a place to watch the Packers and saw that the parking lot was mostly full, so we thought it might be a good option. Thankfully we were correct! This is a great place to sit at the bar and watch a game. There are at least 5 TVs, which will allow you to see from pretty much any seat.

Great location, friendly staff, clean and interesting interior. By the time we were sat we were so hungry, we all made like bandits to the pizza buffet! The buffet was a fun experience, and there was a deep dish style that our table all liked. Overall for $12 it was a fun and interesting, and our waiter was so sweet on a busy 4th of July night! I do think the salad bar could be improved upon (more toppings that work well on salads), and my "bourbon smash" was very tart and I think was missing a simple syrup/sugar. Either way we left happy with ice cream in hand 😊
