In 2010 on Market Street in the City of Poughkeepsie, Kiriaki (Kiki) Pertesis, licensed massage therapist and esthetician opened a small one-room spa called The Little Owl Spa. Her dream was to create small-scaled luxury spa focused on honesty, knowledge and customer care. In a smaller space, each service could be customized to fit the needs of every client.
No one would be rushed out the door or forced to purchase products they don't need just to fulfill a demanded quota. The Little Owl Spa on Market St, fulfilled every one of her wishes! After 7 years of building a large clientele and adding a couple practitioners to her team, Kiki found another location that was slightly bigger and close to home!

Services
The Little Owl Spa offers one price for all types of massage therapy. The cost only varies based on duration of massage. Each session is customized to the clients needs in regards to pressure preference and massage type. Some of the modalities of massage that the massage therapists are trained in are: Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, myofacial release, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular massage, Eastern massage & lymphatic drainage.
There are 2 parking spots in the front of the shop available to you. Please be cautious not to park in the neighbors parking spot at the house next door. The light gray parking stops placed on driveway are there to distinguish our driveway from the neighbors. If you are unable to get a spot out front, there is alternate side parking available on the side street called PARKWOOD AVE directly across the street from the spa.
A deep cleansing facial that includes exfoliation, extractions, soothing mask, light massage of the face, neck, shoulders, arms and hands. Completed with an antioxidant serum or moisturizer and suitable SPF. We recommend that new clients start with this facial so that we can learn more about your skin.
Our premium, luxury, hard wax, is one of a kind! It is odorless, super elastic, cools quickly and due to its patented formulation, can be heated at a lower temperature than any other hard wax. This is the perfect option for sensitive skin and those that are used to hard wax hair removal. Our white soft wax is extra gentle and formulated to heat at a lower temperature with no skin drag or sticky residue.
The lighting and burning of sage is known as smudging. This is an old ritual done historically by Native Americans and other spiritual cultures to cleanse the energy around the body and in the space. It is known to bring peace, wisdom and enlightenment. Enjoy a 30 minute healing session that incorporates a guided meditation, sage purification, healing crystals, singing bowls and energy work.

My wife’s favorite gift is a massage. I’ve booked lots of massages for her throughout the years, with different therapists and different spas and in different states; the best massage by far, per her report, was with Amanda at Little Owl. I recently booked her a massage as a last minute gift at another spa because Little Owl was booked out for weeks— it was a really disappointing experience and made me wish I had just waited for availability at Little Owl. I immediately booked her another massage with Amanda in a few weeks and she’s looking forward to it so much. The spa is really beautiful

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Little Owl with a 90 minute hot stone massage with Tara. It was, by far, the best massage I've ever had. Tara was so kind and attentive and really listened to my problem areas. I truly felt like I was getting a totally tailored experience to my body and my issues. She even gave me advice on what to do at home to relieve some of my muscular pain. I only wish I lived closer so I could go back! I cannot recommend her enough!

I went to get my eyebrows shaped and tinted here and the results were beautiful!!! I left so happy and satisfied. Highly recommend Chelsea, the owner Kiki was there too and so was so welcoming and friendly. I got so many compliments on my eyebrows. I will definitely be going back. This spa is definitely one the best around!

First things first, GO GET A MASSAGE! It’s so worth it. I just got home from my 60 minute hot stone massage with Darlene, I am so relaxed and my body feels so good. It’s been a crazy year but everyone needs to treat themselves to a massage! The Little Owl Spa is so cute and so relaxing. Darlene was tactical and precise and I would 100% recommend her over and over again. I can’t wait to go back!

I just got the most amazing massage from Darlene! I have been having so much back pain for the last year or so. I have 3 kids two of which were almost 10 lbs and I have a small 5ft stature. I asked for a 90 min hot stone massage and I've gotten plenty of massages on my past. This one was my favorite thus far. I will definitely be coming back here and asking for Darlene

This is a very nice little spa that I have been to twice. Once for a massage that was lovely and once for eyebrow shaping. It has really nice professional staff. A very clean environment that is decorated really beautifully and the prices are what you would expect for the services that are provided. They have limited parking but I have not had an issue when I have gone there.

This is the place to go if you want the BEST massage!!!!! And believe me because I get one every week! I love a deep tissue rub and that's not easy to find. Michelle and Kikki are both great but I have a standing massage with Michelle and I adore her! I've also gotten some wonderful facials there too.Its an all around wonderful experience.Treat yourself and you'll be hooked!!

Her skillset is unmatched and her personality and character are truly one of a kind. When I left, I felt like I knew her my whole life! She will make you feel so at ease that the appointment is over before you know it, and you leave feeling refreshed & rejuvenated physically and mentally!! I had a wonderful experience with her and would 10/10 return and recommend. Best waxing experience I have ever had.

Today I had my first experience at The Little Owl Spa Boutique. Kiki is the sweetest person and made me feel very comfortable from the moment I met her. If you know me, you know I take my eyebrows VERY seriously. If you don't know me, now you do. I searched high and low for a good esthetician to entrust with my beloved brows and Kiki is HEAVEN SENT. She is the loveliest, sweetest, most detailed and definitely educated in the field. I instantly loved the spa, her and at the end of my appointment had killer brows. I CAN NOT RECOMMEND HER ENOUGH! Kiki is amazing!!!! A few visits with her and my skin went from painful, inflamed acne and never being able to go without makeup, to feeling confident about my skin again! She's also the only person I trust with my brows. Her recommendations for skin care were incredible and helped immensely. I highly recommend her...you won't be disappointed!

Kiki is so sweet and so easy to chat with, and clearly very good at what she does.
