I've seen a few negative reviews, mainly pertaining to rudeness by the staff, and I wanted to counter that view. I'm from neighboring New Mexico and have been visiting PH since they were Animas Herbal Wellness. I have had nothing but courteous, knowledgeable and professional service from them all these years. I visited just yesterday and the young lady who waited on me was fantastic. I just wish I could remember her name. She knew her product, and from what I've sampled up to now, she is spot on as to its effect, and intensity. Parking is a bit of a pain, but they seem to be

Wouldn't order online just bite the bullet and wait in line. Last time I ordered online I got one gram of wax at 6pm and when I got to the dispensary at 7:00pm it still wasn't ready so they sent me back to the end of the regular recreational line. They need to get their online orders sorted. Happens all the time.

Okay so I would've given this place 5 stars if the lady that helped me didn't know what she was talking about
I asked which strains had a gassy/ OG Kush flavor/ smell and the lady looked at me like she had no clue what I was talking about. She proceeds to tell me that all the weed they have tasted like earth/dirt which automatically told me that she shouldn't be working in a weed shop. So I had to pick out everything based on my knowledge of strains and the cannabis plant and got some really good bud. The only downside was it was really dry. They need to get better bud tenders that

This place is great, easy to find and good parking situation. The staff is very knowledgable and helpful, as well as friendly! They have a lot of variety of flowers, so whatever kind you're looking you'll be happy with your purchase. Also the prices are the best I've ever seen in Colorado, so it's a must visit if you're in Durango. You can mix and match by the gram without any difference in price - amazing!

Ever heard of a company that is money hungry? Lol well you have found one, prohibition herb used to be great but when a worker tells you that we sell too much of shatter to quickly so we will stop, is just sad, do you know how business works a little? You feed the demand, not destroy it. Lastly, the best part, $300 for a premium ounce of bud, this will make people have a heart attack, you can buy 3 ounces of bud in Denver for under $175. Hell every illegal state you can cop a ounce from your plug for $150. Lol prohibition herb you are and forever will be a JOKE.

Animas Herbal took the time to reach out to me and make things right when there was a problem. I feel terrible for ripping into any of the individuals who work there. They're all just following a protocol and sometimes things get confusing. I apologize for the awful way I took our last transaction. I should not have taken it personally.
That being said, Animas has the best, by far, selection of pot/hash/edibles in Durango. I can't speak for the rec side of things, but the Med side is top top. Even out of all the places I went to in Denver. The problem is it can be intimidating
