The absolute best! I was losing COBRA coverage, which became one of my biggest concerns. Would my family and I be left without a good healthcare plan or one that was unaffordable? Jon spent considerable time with me to understand my needs, sent me charts showing my tailored options, walked through them patiently with me, and answered all of my questions (which were numerous because I don't know this stuff at all). For the past five years, Jonathan Katz has been instrumental in navigating me through the Health Insurance Marketplace as I sought a medical plan for my son, whose income precluded paying the onerous fees for an acceptable plan. Jonathan's knowledge, and just as importantly, his empathy has been a godsend. More recently, when it appeared that the Market place was going to curtail its financial support and refer my son to Medicaid, Jonathan's counsel was invaluable. He is so courteous and patient in helping to explain all the options and makes great recommendations. I left my corporate job (and the health insurance that came with it) in late 2017. As my COBRA was getting ready to expire 18 months or so later, I was having some serious anxiety about what I was going to do as a freelancer / small business owner to make sure my health needs would be covered. I worked directly with Barbara Waldman who works with Jon, and she was fantastic to work with! Timely email responses, great follow-up, and when we spoke on the phone to talk through my different options, she was a wealth of knowledge! We talked through every possible scenario for what I expect to need from my health insurance in the coming year, and she answered all of my questions and then some (brought up points I wouldn't have considered). Can't recommend them highly enough!

I contacted Jonathan after several attempts to analyze available health insurance options on my own. Jonathan responded promptly to my inquiry. He explained my options in easily understandable terms and provided advice that was succinct and reassuringly straightforward. I contacted Jonathan for health insurance recommendations for my adult son after reviewing the consistent five-star ratings he received from other clients. I soon discovered why he was so favorably reviewed. Jon Katz has helped me multiple times to buy private health insurance... he goes above and beyond, not only finding great health insurance in the current mess and maze of the ACA, but also by calming nerves, returning calls, and generally giving his clients more peace of mind than a paid therapist! The policies I've bought through Virginia Medical Plans, with Jon's and his colleague Brandon Boushell's's guidance, have saved us thousands and thousands of dollars, as several times we had hospital stays occur after the new policies were in place.
