If u are not one of the original season camper. The least little thing u do is wrong. Yet the male owner will come drink with you and accept alcohol u give him. But when one of the seasonal campers who were their before u that caused u problemst and others they give him warnings after warnings but won't kick him out. Not right and the owners should not play favoritism. It's all good wish the owners well, but they know what they did was wrong. Nothing bit a Payton place. Thought gossip was in high school. At this campground people gossip and say stuff that is not right. Glad I'm gone, sane token

If you are a weekend camper you may want to think twice about HG. It appears most weakened spots are in section C but the seasonal "campers"in section B gave this Campground no more than three stars.
The campground was great! But trying to keep our grandkids from setting foot in anybody's lot or not being able to walk down the road in section B was ridiculous!

We were so happy to have found this place when it was getting late, traveling with kiddos who wanted nothing but to be done for the day, and no other options. I called Joan May and like a real mama bear she sensed my urgency and instructed us to a site for us to spend our night passing through. Placed us next to a playground for the kids to burn their beans the next morning, we had access to the power to make a nourishing meal before bed and water ran great, froze in the morning (our lines not theirs) so if you come through in these colder months be sure to wait for the sun to warm up or use their

Campground Management are very nice and hospitable! They have a good sized beautiful lake that looks like it would be lovely to swim in (it was too cold when we camped there), a large and fun playground (which we certainly made use of), and it's out in the beautiful countryside.
The bathrooms are usually clean and well maintained.
On the weekends they have fun activities. My kids loved the train ride!
We really enjoyed our time here!
