The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.

My father was serviced by Gatlin Funeral Home and tonight was his viewing. The last time that I saw my Father he was unrecognizable on the ventilator in the hospital. In death Gatlin brought my Daddy back to life for me. When I saw him it brought such peace to my heart because I knew that he would want to be seen as he was tonight. Mr. Gatlin has consistently offered condolences and verified every step of the way that my family was supported. I am grateful for him. A five star rating does not do Gatlin Funeral Home justice.
