Our Cosmetology Program will equip you with everything you will need to begin your journey. Cosmetology is the study of treatments that make people more beautiful, and its primary focus is on the aesthetics of hair, skin, and nails. It is an ancient profession, and one that is consistently in constant demand.
Our program will teach you everything you need to know to be both a skilled specialist and successful professional. The Nail Specialist Program at Puttin' on the Tips is much more than just how to make nails beautiful. Our curriculum covers pedicuring, nail anatomy, nail wrap, nail disorders and diseases, sculptured nails, nail art, fundamentals of massage, Florida law, salon management, employability skills, and principles of entrepreneurship.
Our Skin Care Program will teach you everything you'll need to know in order to acquire a Florida Esthetician license. Students that graduate from the skin care program at Puttin' On The Tips are fully equipped to begin employment as an Esthetician/ Facial specialist. This program provides State of Florida certification for Facial Specialty.
To complete their education, the students at Puttin' on the Tips need hands-on experience performing the procedures and treatments that they will be doing once they are employed. I had to change my N.Y license to Florida license. To do that you have to take a test. The test is difficult and stressful the laws are different many new rules. Not to mentionion I haven't taken a test in many years.
Before I moved to Florida I called all of the cosmetology schools in the state . When I called Puttin on The Tips Ocala Vickie ( the owner ) answered the phone . She answered all of my questions and understood my concerns. Vickies professionalism and confidence

Signed up for classes Monday -Thursday but instructor only allows you to come on Thursdays which would take a year or more to complete the program. When I signed up, I called to confirm I would be able to work as slow or as fast as I was able and she said all students work at different paces and it would be accommodated, which it's not. Friend of mine took this same course at a different school and it took her 7 1/2 weeks to complete. The way this program is set up, that they do not make clear when signing up, is coordinated for a six-month course, which is not at all what was anticipated
