Our intentional design and premier service help to create a relaxing and inspiring atmosphere. Holly is spunky, tenacious, colorful, and an all-around good time. She also loves a project! Whether that be imagining and executing incredible custom colors for her clients, raising and wrangling the hippest family in town, or building an inclusive and luxurious space like Velvet, she manages to do it all.
If you are a new color client you will first set up a consultaion to ensure propper expectaions are set. This is a complimentary 15minute appointment where we will go over budget, time and number of sessions needed to achieve your goals. If you are unable to make your appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance.

I am very pleased with how my haircut went. I really liked the aesthetic of the studio, and everyone was kind and welcoming. Zoë came recommended from friends and exceeded my expectations! I feel like a new version of myself! I am very excited and have decided to switch to this hair studio for the foreseeable future. I would say that if you’re reading this, to just book an appointment. Libby does my hair and is so dang fun! I look forward to going every time as it’s not only amazing for my hair, but my soul too. I am visiting family in Bozeman and decided it was finally safe to go to a salon for a desperately needed haircut. My relatives highly recommended Velvet, saying it was a fairly new upscale salon with a talented staff. I was lucky to get an appointment since I heard they are generally booked in advance. Luckily, I was able to see Jenn Sarchet! My hair needed a reshaping of long layers. I live in Florida so I wanted an "easy to dry at the beach" cut. I was so so so happy with the results of Jenn's work! She explained her technique in detail and how this cut would help with my desire

I have been coming to Velvet Studio since they first opened. I followed my stylist Micah from a different salon to Velvet because she always gives me exactly what I'm looking for and helps me pick a style that looks great on me, even if I'm not sure what to try. I've tried various cuts, colors, and balayage, and every time I love the results! I have also had my hair styled by some of the other lovely ladies at Velvet and have seen a good amount of their work; they are all extremely skilled and considerate, and genuinely want to help you look your best, whatever that might be! I always ask for styling

Velvet is amazing. When you walk in you see a beautiful, modern studio with stunning views. I especially love all the plants. Holly is my favorite stylist, but all of her girls do great work. I always get exactly what I want and feel great leaving. They also have great products and cute accessories. I would never go anywhere else for any of my hair care needs.

I'm not going to lie, this place is pretty booshie, but you will not find a better cut anywhere. Holly absolutely nailed every aspect of this place. It's bright, beautiful and has good energy. With that said, I'd follow Holly to a phone booth. Holly is next level--nobody hooks up a cut like her and she's assembling a dream-team to take her studio to the next level. The fact is, anyone looking for a top-shelf studio you'd expect to find in a major city, need not look any further, but that's not why I'm writing this review, or why I go see Holly. Velvet is the place to go for a haircut and a different perspective on you being important. The staff is relaxed and they take their time with each person no matter the time of day. The facility is truly magnificent with plenty of places for kiddos to nook away on pillows. There are beverages and very comfortable arrangements in the waiting area. I go to this salon once a month and it is truly a highlight in my month. The plants are phenomenal as well! My haircut is an easy one to mess up, but with velvet I no longer worry!

I am 32 years old and have been to at least 32 different hair stylists. Holly at Velvet is hands down the best that there is. I have been going to her since I moved to Bozeman 7 years ago and will never switch, even if I move away and have to fly back here to see her. She is a mind reader when it comes to style and looks, especially when it feels like I’m not expressing what I want correctly. I just give her my thoughts and trust her with the rest. She’s never let me down. Seriously if you can get in to Velvet, you’ll never leave.

Jackie is my hero! She's turned my aging hair into rock star material over the years. I get compliments all the time about my hair. I've sent my mom, kids, niece, sister, best friend and others her way and they all love her work. She's the type of artist that listens and you can trust to do her magic. She's a color guru with a pulse on contemporary culture who knows what's sexy, strong, and red hot! Seriously. Best. Ever.
