I went to Wrede this morning with my husband to order 8 ton of landscape rock for $225. This is the cost in the flyer and includes delivery. I was then told I am the one road in Monticello they will not deliver to. Okay. Then can we just have it delivered in your dump truck. Oh sure. For $343. Excuse me. Why is this so much more? I'm buying the same amount and could've actually bought more. In addition I need excavation work done a retaining wall and probably more rock. Anyone know of someone who is not going to blatantly RIP me off.

After I gave them my name I expected them to pull up my order, but instead had to take all of my information again, including amount of gravel and delivery address. They had lost my order. If your one job is selling rocks, how could you possibly lose an order for it. I am disappointed to say the least.

We first went to Wrede & Sons for decorative river rocks to create a rock garden in our front yard. For $100.00, we got 3 tons of rock, and for $35.00 they delivered it to our house. I'm not sure if they are the cheapest in town, but then, I don't think there's anyone else in town who sells a variety or rock, mulch and gravel by the ton.

We went back to them to get a quote for excavating our divider. We were very impressed with how detailed and professional they were, even though they got back to us a week later and took a few more days to check-out the property. They quoted
