Located on a picturesque, handsomely landscaped acre in the heart of Corrales, New Mexico, just outside Albuquerque, our 5,600 sq. A small vineyard and adobe archway lead to a 100-foot long pergola supporting wisteria, climbing roses, and flowering trumpet vines. The garden is filled with fruit trees, flowers, aromatic herbs, and lawns.

A bubbling fountain at the Casa's front entrance welcomes you through wrought-iron gates into the Grand Sala, with its 62 x 14-foot long wooden dance floor that has hosted elegant social gatherings and festive parties for 170 years. We furnished Casa Perea's nine rooms with authentic New Mexican and Spanish Colonial antiques to complement the building's traditional architecture and evoke its long history as a home and cultural center.
Services
The State Register of Cultural Properties describes our historic casa as an "excellently preserved example of New Mexico Territorial Architecture." Circa 1850 the Perea family, prominent landowners and vintners, began building their home with adobe bricks and terrones, sod blocks cut from the banks of the nearby Rio Grande.
What is the maximum number of guests you can accommodate in Casa Perea? At this time we are only booking for up to 50 guests or the maxiumum amount per the State Health Order. What are your weekday hours? Casa Perea and Pachamama are typically open 10am - 5pm Wednesday - Saturday (unless closed for a wedding - call in advanced for Saturdays).
Pachamama, our store named for the Earth Mother of the Andes, dates to 1974. The present owner, Martha Egan, bought the business in 1978 from her sister Polly Arango, who founded Pachamama with her husband, John Arango. We are dedicated to presenting the best and most beautiful handmade Latin American Folk Art, new, old, or vintage, at reasonable prices.
Definitions vary, but for us, folk art is that originally made by and for the people themselves, for their daily use and for special occasions. Contemporary work is often made for sale to outsiders as well. The artisans with whom we collaborate come from long traditions of craftsmanship.

They typically produce their art together as a family, and take great pride in what they make from simple, at-hand materials: weavings, utilitarian pottery, jewelry, masks, decorations for celebrations, furniture, religious art, tools, toys, musical instruments, and household wares.
Who doesn't love a bit of bling? Our earrings, necklaces, rings, pins, shawl pins, crosses, and pendants, vintage and new, are based on long-standing traditions of silversmithing and craftsmanship. Whether a vintage necklace of coral, silver, and glass trade beads, or a new hand-wrought silver chain with an Andean opal pendant, we strive to offer high-quality, handmade work to be worn and treasured for years to come.

Absolutely the best place for a small to medium sized wedding! The grounds were stunning and the staff working at Casa Perea are all the nicest people. The team truly went the extra mile for us! We looked at a handful of venues and they were all very expensive, but this venue was a super reasonable price with a great payment plan option. If you are getting married I highly recommend doing a tour at Casa Perea Art Space.
